    Less fun than 11?

I'm not sure what it is about this game but is it just me or does it seem less fun? Maybe it's that I can't hit or that the CPU magically seems to always come up with the hit it needs to pull ahead.

I've drafted the #1 overall team and am hitting .235. Just dropped to default Veteran from 6 contact, 6 solid hit All Star. DFL in HR, SLG pct., hits, hits allowed.

This just isn't fun. I've even dropped pitch speed for the first time in four years and it doesn't seem to matter. Time to go back to 11, I think.

I am hitting better and winning more games than any other version.

As good as 11 was, 12 is even better, IMHO. Having more fun this year.

How is it you're hitting better? What are you using for sliders?

I'm having a blast, as well. Last night I scored 10 runs, AND with no homeruns. Felt good to score that many without going deep.

I always play stock sliders. The devs have the game optimized at those sliders.

I see the ball much better this year with the new camera angle.

Definitely more fun; default sliders, rookie, timing, auto defense... 8-5 record, 3.11 era, .278 avg., 6 HR , Dodger's!!

I had way more fun playing this game in march, but now in April, I'm suddenly playing way worse. I'm averaging maybe 1-2 runs a game(AI is like that too!)

12 is the greatest game on my all-time list.

11 was an even draw with a few, but this one is hands down the most balanced, unpredictable video game experience I have ever known.

Sorry you feel this way (OP. I'm copying this post because I agree with it 100%).

I agree with you. Any poster that have been around op sports a while know that I've been a hardcore show guy since 2008, however, I've just not had much fun at all this year. Something has changed but I really can't put my finger on it.

Something about the offense has changed this year that has made the game just not much fun for me. I think it has something to do with the ball physics. I wish they would have left the actual gameplay alone because it was a blast in previous years.

I think a lot of my problem is I can't find a level of difficulty that keeps me entertained. All star is too hard to score runs but when I turn it to Veteran it's way too easy. I've fiddled with the sliders on both levels but that doesn't change anything. In previous years all star level was perfect. Not so much this year.

This game is more realistic in the fact that you can score 10 runs one night and get shut out the next. Infuriating I know but still fun.

I've had one game with more than 5 runs. As in my OP, I'm DFL in most major hitting categories although walking more than I ever have. I'm wondering if the new camera angle just requires extreme amounts of time to adjust to. I've used the same one since 09 and now this.... this really is hard.

I'm the same with Vet and AS. AS kicks my *** up and down the street but Veteran makes me look like Ted Williams. I do love the challenge of AS pitching even if, like I said, it always seems like the CPU comes up with that hit it needs. I'm walking many more batters this year than in the past and that's something that takes getting used to but hitting this year requires some sort of massive paradigm shift. From what to what, I'm unsure, though.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. I loved 11, but for me 12 is the all timer.

Yup the variety of games is one of the things that I love about this game.

For sure something is different with the difficulty levels. I'm not sure what it is but in past years I didn't notice this.
