Anyone have any tips for becoming a lead off hitter? It seems I always get put 3rd in the lineup and that will be my main spot for the career. I'm pretty sure it's been like that for awhile now. I have a 99 speed guy hitting 3rd with 90s contact and 50s power. What the hell?

I hope that isn't true. I have a RttS shortstop that I just started who is a speed guy but I'm hoping to work him into a 5 tool guy that leads off and has power, you know like a Rickey Henderson. Unfortunately, contact and power takes precedence in the line up logic and uses those before it looks at such thing as speed and base running ability. Best hitter on the team is going to get slated into the 3 spot and in all but the heaviest power hitting lineup, 90's contact and 50+ power is gonna get you there.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

I have a similar problem.
Speed 91, both contacts in mid 80's, and 70's power.
Was hoping to be a lead off hitter who could knock out 20 hr's.
They put me in the three hole and took away my green light.Comment

Are you guys drawing walks? I don't know anything about the lineup logic, but I wouldn't put ya'll in the leadoff spot either to be quite honest. You should check your OBPComment

I have problems making enough training points in that spot to keep my player progressing. You need HR's and RBI to get decent points..Thanks for helping out, I'll help if I can. Have a good day :)
