SCEA This Is getting Out of Hand!!!

During my SP RTTS the fielders never release the ball on time. Why do they wait until i get to the bag.....

this is easily the most annoying bug in the game, it happens all the time and i don't see why the first baseman can't go back to the bag when he's right next to it

What fielding settings are you playing on ? i play on buttons for fielding, i do manual fielding, and have never had this issue. i turned off throw cancelling, as that was the only time i would blow a gasket, but it was always self induced.

I also use the buttons for fielding but this is My SP in RTTS so i have no control over the infielders or how they play.

If youre using button fielding, and catching the ball near 1st base, just press circle, you dont have to use the left stick.

This only happens playing as a sp during RTTS so you have no control over the first baseman, it has screwed me out of so many double plays.

This happens to me a lot too, it gets quite annoying. Anyone know a solid fix beside only throw strikeouts? Lol

It's definitely an RTTS thing, only happens to me in that mode, seems to work perfectly in Franchise (as long as the pitcher gets over). I have often thought it was my fault, me not getting over there in time, so that I basically start running to first base after every pitch as a default (easier as a RH than a LH), but yeah, it still happens even if I get over there in time. Not every time, but enough to be a pain. And yes, throw cancelling is a good idea but it needs to be a different button, because I've almost had a heart attack as I try to throw the ball and either my finger spazzes or my controller does and my guy sits there faking the throw five times as I call 911.

Re: SCEA This Is getting Out of Hand!!!

This happens to me as well in RTTS as a SS on double play attempts where I have to cover 2nd base; instead of throwing it in stride for an easier double play I have to wait until I get to the bag which makes it more difficult.

Just thinking here, but in training modes for fielding, I find it really, really hard to get what the game considers a "perfect" jump on a ground ball on the IF -- much easier on fly balls and popups-- usually if I make the play as it seems a real player would it gives me an "OK" or "good" or occasionally "great" but never perfect, even if all I'm doing is waiting for a ball to be hit and am reacting as fast as I can, etc. And it's really easy to get a "bad" by just barely twitching the wrong way. So, that said about training in RTTS, might there be something like that built into the fielding for certain positions, like the pitcher covering first (hard to get a "perfect" jump as a pitcher right after you've just thrown a pitch) or a SS on the double play? I don't know, just a thought.
