RTTS, Trades, and You

I'm stuck on a team I don't want to be on, the Royals. The team itself isn't too bad, but I hate the ballpark. For some reason I hit 140 points lower at home, and as a RF I hate the curved corners in the outfield. Whenever I ask to be traded they say no.

Is there nothing I can do short of starting all over (which I'd prefer not to do)?

Unfortunately, There's not much I think you can do other than stick it out until you hit free agency in 6 years.

Maybe the team will finally trade you after repeated requests.

This is crazy that this came up because I get traded CONSTANTLY, against my wishes. My most recent and more permanent RTTS I was drafted by the Yankees and got traded on June 3rd with Nick Swisher and Michael Pineda to the Dodgers for Andre Ethier. First of all, what a shaft job by the Dodgers. Possible ace, quality MLB outfielder, solid prospect (me) for a guy who is all numbers and less talent. Right after that, the Dodgers traded for Jacob Turner from Detroit.

The RTTS before that, I was traded twice in one year and ended up quitting because I had no interest in playing in the Orioles organization after I had selected the Cubs.

I've never once been able to force a trade. The times I wanted one because I was doing well and not getting called up, they say I'm too valuable. I'm not sure what ways you can force it, you'll just have to play it out or start over. If you don't see the ball well at home (a problem I have with a ton of minor league parks), just try to stay back on the ball and slap it so you see it longer. I hit terribly at home, not because I don't see it but because the dimensions and the gigantic outfield walls. It's like trying to hit a ball out of the Grand Canyon.

Yea that sucks when that happens. I can't remember what team I was playing for .. Tampa or the Ranger maybe .. I signed a huge 4 year deal thinking yea I'll stay here. Literally the next day I was traded to the Twins I believe in a stupid deal. First off why sign a guy to a huge deal then trade him (maybe it was too much money for them) .. second the twins or whoever it was can't afford huge contracts.. Kind of lame

My current RTTS, I am a SP and rolled through AA and AAA in my first season (passed all goals). And signed a One-year 13.5 million dollar deal to start in AAA the next year??? That is what the CPU offered me. A one year deal to a nineteen year old SP prospect? I don't feel the CPU handles prospects adequately, as you can sort of see in franchise mode as well.

What park are you referring?

Wagonman Stadium is my home stadium for AAA Albuquerque. 363 down the line (although the wall curves some) and 421 to dead center. There are national parks smaller than this stadium. The power alleys are probably an even 400.

I hit 200 points lower at home than on the road and I've had at least a handful of balls go to the track in the alley that would be easy homers anywhere else. This place is brutal.

Majestic Greens Stadium is where I used to play and it's not better. Like 375 to left and right and 410 to dead center with the tall wall across the whole field. I've actually hit a homer to dead center in that place though.

I know you feel about being on a team what you don't like. also got drafted by the Yankees then ended up getting traded to the Twins. I don't mind then that much but I kinda do cause I played MLB 11 the show as a Twin so I'm kinda worn out towards them. Asking for a trade in the game doesn't do much, so I basically wait for my 6yrs. I'm only on three :/

i dunno asking for a trade worked for me in last years game. but then again the circumstances were different. i was playing catcher for the astros and then they traded for another catcher, i cant remember name at this very moment. anyways they started him over me, although i had better overall and much better stats in general.

i asked for a trade early in the season and didnt get it. i asked again right before the allstar game and was told no again. a week later they traded me to the brewers. it was probably the best lineup i have ever been up hitting behind braun and fielder. next season they were gone, braun to the yankees and fielder to the giants.

This is called REALISM. IRL players don't get to pick who they play for or which level they play, or hell even if they play! I hated the change they made this year about making it so you don't have to play your way into the lineup anymore, and what you guys are asking for would ruin the realism completely.

I think my problem is more along the line with the roster/trade logic than it is the fact that I can't ask for a trade. As I understand the game mode, you are supposed to be the equivalent of a 1st round prospect and then it is up to you to decide if you're a bust or a superstar. Prospects like that are supposed to be in lineup from day 1, they are also supposed to be the prize of their organization.

When I was drafted by the Yankees, I basically had a free path to left field (my primary position) as a prospect. I came out of the gate in AA ball strong and then slumped HARD, getting down to .216 and getting traded to the Dodgers at .220. Now, the trade logic of the trade made no sense. It was me, Swisher and Michael Pineda for Andre Ethier. No team, not even the Yankees would trade a top pitching arm, a top OF prospect and a quality veteran OF for a second tier OF.

I am now in a Dodger organization with 5 OF on the Major League roster, and I am stuck in AAA blocked by Abreu in LF. I asked to change my position to a VERY weak 3B (my secondary position is IF) and they said no. I guess my complaint is, there is no reason that trade should have been made and it blocked my development as a player when I probably would have been a Major Leaguer by now. And the worst part is I'm better than the two backup OF in the bigs.

I dont understand the trade logic either and agree that dumb trades like that dont make sense at all.

I battled my way up the Pirates organization through AA and AAA as a SS. Got myself to around an 81 overall with about a month left in AAA. Managed to bring the AAA team back from 16 games behind to 9 games up. I actually didnt want to be traded. I liked the fact I was going to spend at least 2 years in the minors to develop my stats and potentially win titles in AA, AAA and then hopefully the World Series with the same organisation. The Pirates were only 7.5 games back at this stage in the year so I figured a great fielding SS with power hitting will boost what they have. So the potential was there.

But alas..... was no to be. Myself and the starting Majors SS Donnie Murphy (66 OVR) was traded for an 83 OVR at the age of 34. Go figure eh?!

I was traded to the White Sox organisation in AAA 22.5 games behind at that point (Charlotte Knights). Oh well challenge accepted, with a month and a half left I got them back within 8 games behind the division leader and was sitting at #1 in the Wild Card standings with about 2 weeks left to go before post season play. Wew I thought ..... AAA title coming up hopefully..... nup got bumped up to majors and have sucked ever since. Made a starter after about a month on the bench but with 27 games behind the Tigers the season is over and the White Sox suck at the moment.

So not only when I left did the AAA team blow the Wild Card #1 and miss out on playoffs, but the way the White Sox are playing currently I could expect to be close to 40 games down by the end of the year. And since I'm a starter unless I start failing goals left right and center I'm not going anywhere for a long time.

Just so everyone knows, you can veto a trade that you are involved in by setting the injuries to manual and injuring yourself or someone involved in the trade. Even just giving yourself a 2-day migraine works. The trade won't happen if someone is injured..
