    Starting a new franchise.

I am about 92 games into my current M's franchise, but I am finding it tough to resist the new rosters coming out. Specifically, Scott's new set that has all updated transactions and player edits to the OSFM v3 base.

I think this is a good thing because in my previous franchise, I had it set to where the CPU could not do any transactions except sending players up and down. I wanted as realistic of a franchise as possible that followed real life, but doing so is kind of lame. It might present some problems in free agency as well considering the CPU has zero roster management capabilities.

Is there a way to give the CPU roster control but being able to reverse their moves if they are ridiculous? I always noticed before that the Angels were trading Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and other elite prospects ALL of the time for marginal players. That was essentially the reason that I decided to take complete roster control. I don't mind the CPU making trades but it would kill the franchise for me if young, elite prospects were moving around the league at a breakneck pace for marginal players. I am just not feeling that.

So, basically I am looking to give the CPU control but being able to reverse their stupid, unrealistic roster decisions if need be.

What do you guys do in order to have realistic franchises while still giving the CPU control? I don't mind a bit of fantasy but want *some* semblance of real life in regards to not trading elite prospects or good players for scrubs.

I am asking if I can reverse the stupid trades that get made. I don't mind the CPU signing free agents, but am asking if there's an option that would give me final say or the ability to reverse idiotic CPU moves in franchise.

yes...if u do 30-team control...u would have manual control over every trade that gets made

            Not really interested in 30-team-control.

What I picture is, having control of my team only. The CPU has full roster management capabilities and can make trades, sign free agents, etc... But if a terrible trade is made, would I have the ability to reverse the trade through forcing the trade back?

u do realize that u wouldn't have to do ANYTHING for 30-team control and just control the trading aspect if u wish?.....no u can't reverse idiotic trades on single-team control

30-team control is the way to go. You can set multiple profiles (settings) so that CPU teams act as if you were on a Single-Team Franchise, but you can still check pending transactions every day to act as a "Commissioner" and be able to veto trades if necessary.

The only big drawback is having to either completely simulate the June draft, or drafting for each team (though you can press Square to go to the suggested player for each team).

I use 30 team and do not monitor pending transactions. How I do it is I allow the CPU to make moves. If I see a trade that completely bothers me...then I go and change profile 2 to manual trades and trade the players back to their respective teams or slightly change the deal then put trades back to auto.

Most definitely. It is a whole new feel in franchise mode. All you do is checking pending transactions every day and if you don't like the deal just reject the deal.

Franchise mode has become so much more realistic and I am happy I restarted.

Thanks guys, I am going to roll with 30-team control and see how it goes. Now I just have to find out how to do it...

before you start your franchise, create a 2nd profile and change all the options u dont want to control to auto...now start ur franchise and select all teams....assign the 2nd profile to the other 29 teams and the 1st profile to your own team
