RTTS - Mngr Won't Pull My Pitcher When Gassed

I am using a SP in RTTS and the manager keeps leaving me in to long. I used the free bonus training pts from Playstation store. Made the majors in first season. But now I can't seem to have a good outing because when I am gassed and can't hit the strike zone, they still leave me in.

Ex. Pitched 7 IP, no ER, but scattered lots of H and BB. Team is up 2-0, bottom of the 7th they let me hit with 2 out and man at 2nd. I was already over 100 pitches. Come out for the 8th, walk the first guy. Give up a double. THEN they pull me, both runs score. So much for my W. Variations of this seem to happen most games.

    Anyone have similar issues?

Yea they definitely leave you in too long sometimes. I feel like it is an over correction from the past when you weren't left in long enough.

I've had several games where I've gotten to about 120 or more pitches in my first season in AA and AAA. Early in the year too so that is a bit ridiculous lol.

i know exactly what you mean. they leave you in if you have a shutout. one time i was pitching a no hitter BUT my team also wasn't doing anything offensively. So don't you know it I take my no hitter all the way into the 14th inning, give up a hit, they take me out and the reliever gives up a walk off home run.

      I had over 150 pitches.

This used to happen to me all the time until I got stamina up to 80+. Early in my career my energy would be dead right around the 5th or 6th and they'd inexplicably leave me in to get rocked. Early as a major league starter, they'd leave me in late when I was getting hit around.

The problem now is that my stamina is to the point where I get left in games for 110-120 pitches constantly. My perfect game was 99 pitches, I had a complete game that was 112 and the first game of the ALDS I threw 126. I kind of like that they roll me out there and let me work, but damn I can't do everything.

i feel the opposite. i would have a 1 hit shutout in the 7th with 80 or so pitches and i would get pulled after a single. i feel i had a great chance to get some extar points for a shutout complete game but i end up having the bullpen blow it and we lose the game

That's weird, I've never once been pulled when I had a shutout, even when it was pretty clear I was losing it. My very first complete game was my first start of the 2015 season. I had a shutout through 8 and just a 2-0 lead. Gave up two singles to lead off, 1st and 3rd with 0 out and 107 pitches.

Thought for sure I was going to get yanked, but they left me out there and I was able to induce a run scoring double play and then a flyout to end the game, 2-1. 112 pitches. This was before the point in my career where I would be considered an "ace" so I was surprised I was left in.

Heck, I've been left in for 120+ pitches of games where I had given up 3 or 4 runs.

Thanks for the responses guys. So it sounds like not much can be done about this then. Bummer.
