Need help saving lineups/rotations

Having some trouble figuring this out.

I downloaded a classic rosters file and went through each team and set the batting order and rotations to my liking. Then I started a season.

Here's the problem: At the start of spring training, the changes I made show up fine. But when I sim spring training and start the regular season, the batting orders and rotations reset to how the roster maker had them.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround for this?

Yes...

1-If you use 30 team control...you just wait until Day 1 of the regular season and set them(with LINEUPS to MANUAL)
2-Set the 40 man rosters in the original roster set to have just 25 players....making sure that all 25 players are in the lineups/rotations and they will "stick" through spring training. This method just requires you to keep the CPU from making ANY roster move to pare down the roster to 25(ACTIVE) at the end of spring training.....which will also trigger it to reset the lineups/rotations.
3-A hybrid of 1 and 2......following them both...and then on day 1 of the regular season you can add back the 15 other players to the 40 man roster(which will better dictate what the CPU uses for call ups in regards to injuries...as it will look to the 40 man roster first when making these decisions)

I prefer 3 myself.

Thanks, Knight.

So whatever I do, I have to re-edit the batting orders, rotations, 40-man rosters, etc., once I'm actually in the season?

I was afraid of this. Because I spent a lot of time editing that roster set (hoser's) before starting the season.

Yes...one or the other...lineups/rotations or 40 man additions after ST(unless you just leave the 40 man with 25 players on it. I've done that and it's fine.)....

Re: Need help saving lineups/rotations

OK, just so I'm clear:

The file that I edited outside of season mode can be downloaded when I start a season and I just need to go through all the teams and take those 15 AAA players off the 40-man roster, and then after the season starts, go back and place those 15 AAA players back on the 40-man roster?

This would save me all the work I did adjusting the lineups and rotations!

Yes.
As long as your teams only have 25 men on the 40 man...and the levels represent that as well(no players left on the MLB level...and all levels are set(25/25/25/15)....
As long as the CPU does not have to make any decisions on roster moves...the lineups will stay.
