Demo?

Anyone heard anything about a demo release? I know one year they did not release one but other years they have released one a few weeks prior to release. Anyone heard anything? Can't wait for this game

I have not read anything official yet, but I wouldnt hold my breath.
The last 2 years, they had playable demos at Best Buy kiosks and even those were very limited. I live in Chicago and not one of 6 area Best Buys had it or even knew what I was talking about!

I agree 100%

A demo will never be an accurate representation of the actual game.
Demos are intended for people who have never played the game and wanna try it before they buy it.
Thats about all theyre good for.
Its not like the demo is gonna have DD or RTTS or online play.
It will prob have 3 innings of SF vs DET and thats about it!

I agree with you guys. I'll be buying regardless, but it would be nice to hold me over for a few weeks. Sounds like it might be wishful thinking. March 5 can't come soon enough.

Meh? Some do. There are some games Ive never heard of and some games I like to demo before allowing my son to play them.
Some demos are good. Some are pointless like MLB, NBA, PGA, FIFA & NFL are.

Most of the time demo's are not a true representation of the final product. It is amazing how much polish and adjustment comes at the end just before the game is finished. I even notice the difference from CD to the retail version every year.

Maybe so. As Nem just pointed out, demos are not a true representation of the actual game.
If you have ever played a sports game before, like MLBTS, Madden, FIFA, NCAA, etc, you know what the game is like and a new demo isnt gonna show you any new features.

If youve NEVER played before, then yeah, they do have a point, otherwise.... pointless.

I was implying the Show is so good that you should just buy it and KNOW you will like. How could you not?

I don't care about a demo being released because I've been playing the game for years, but there will always be people who hear about the game but don't know much about it.

I don't think a demo would influence most potential buyers of MLB 13 The Show, but it could help get some new casual players.
