Bought the Game - Still Unopened - What's the news on bug patches?

I know, it's super early to ask, but thought I'd see if there was progress rather than trying to continue weeding through 100s of posts where I seem to have no luck.

I bought the game this morning. Before I opened it I came on here to find a few glaring issues:

    - Pitching stutter issue
    - First pitch meatball issue
    - Simmed season stats unrealistic (K's and BB's)

Another issue was the inability to put commentating back on for RTTS, but I'm assuming that's something they're not going to reintegrate.

Has there been any talk as to when the first pitch to address some of these issues would be? I have 30 days to bring the game back and plan to do so if this issues linger.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. These games may be a little rough around the edges now, but wait till MLB 15' or 16'. Next years game will have the excuse of not enough time on the new platform, MLB 15' may still have that excuse, but certainly by MLB 16', I think sport gaming will be revolutionized once again.

    Stay patient my friends.

Yeah that way you'll probably never buy a game.

This is by far the best baseball game ever made, aside from some bugs of which I'm sure will be fixed.

The only issues the game has, for me at least, is some choppiness during cut scenes and batter walk ups. Everything else is smooth as silk. Even if I did have the pitcher stutter 4 or 5 times a game I still would consider this a great game. The meatball thing is nonsense. And nearly every sports game seems to have goofy simmed season stats, so I'm used to that. I don't even pay much attention to simmed stats in franchise play anymore.

If you pass on this game, you're making a mistake... IMO.

I am really loving the game this year. I am not seeing nor having as many issues as some other are having. What other choice do you have for a good baseball game this year?

I say ignore the bugs thread if you can and enjoy the beauty of the game.

I haven't noticed any issues so far. The gameplay is smooth as silk and everything is clean and perfect so far.

Rest assured, the San Diego Studios team is working on these issues. Why else would they have a bug thread on their official website. Look at all the patches in past iterations. I have faith. Regardless, this is one great game. Not even close to a game breaker.

Why didn't you rent it and see for yourself how bad the issues are? I would never rely on someone else's opinion on these issues, to some they're god awful and to some it's not a big deal. I'm sure whatever problems pop up Russell and the boys will be on them, they usually do a good job with these.

yeah. why buy it then worry yourself to death with fear and doubt? it just sounds like a weird way to do things.

I think it's a new record...one day after release wondering when issues will be patched.

I know this will jinx it, but here goes...

I bought this game on release day at 7:44am at Walmart, and have had ZERO issues with stuttering, freezing, rosters, fielding, morphing, NOTHING.

The only thing I saw, which pi&**ed me off, was David Ortiz slide THROUGH Robinson Cano on a double play, once again stretching the boundaries of the time/space continuum, and a recurring complaint since the beginning of time for me.

Aside from that, I have seen no signs of any of the issues that some are seeing.

So, my advice to you is open the game and play the snot out of it.

Also, and i just thought of this. The folks that are seeing the pitch stutter... Turn the pitch speed down to Zero and let the animation catch up with the ball flight. See if it still stutters.

I had to trun the pitch seed up to 10. I am not a big fan of the new hitting.

I should have rented but got too antsy.

Some of you guys are right. It's likely the best game on the market, probably the best game ever made. But with that said, there are some issues which just make the game unplayable if not resolved, and forever frustrating to try and have to do workarounds for issues that should have been caught before the game was released.

Am I supposed to take each first pitch one and go to 0-1 in RTTS? That's just silly.

I'm also hearing now that contracts are for new FA are ridiculously low and players are underpaid.

I'll keep shut for now since for the most part, people come here to talk good and get annoyed with posts like this. Hopefully these issues are resolved or I'll stick with my original plan of looking forward to MLB 16'.

Thanks for your thoughts. Just take the game back, get your money and spend it on whatever you wish. I look forward to your thoughts again in 2016.

I had a few issues the first day I played. Nothing major though. One was with a runner on first and a base hit to right the runner on first got thrown out at second.

Another and I use auto fielding and auto throwing (always have) was when there was a really weak ground ball that the third baseman had to charge pretty much in front of the pitchers mound for with a runner on first he went for the out at second when the obvious play is at first. Wasn't an issue in past games.

Was another thing but can't really remember right now. Still love this game though.
