Now that online is its own entity, most likely online issues will get addressed during maintenance shut downs. So don't expect a patch specifically for online.

I'm not being a fanboy sir just being completely upfront, they have never done online well and it's well known fact so much so that I don't go near it. Besides the freezing could be online or it could be one of the numerous freezing reports with this game that could be fixed just needs to be reported.

is a patch associated with roster files?

if i download the patch, make a custom roster, then delete the patch, will the rosters still work on the vita and on the ps-3?
