Season/franchise mode after patch

Just curious, will anybody just start with their season or franchise mode after the "stuttering, first pitch meatball etc" will be patched? I did not start yet with season mode.

If there is a title update we have found the issue causing the stutter. fyi it's not the game causing the stutter for some people.

That's about all i can say at this time.

Because there may not be a patch, might as well.
Also, I for one, am not having the stutter anyways.

I'm not having the stuttering issues, and we have the meatball work around bug. I started a short 30 game season for now, but will start a franchise once the OSFM roster is out. =^^=

Call timeout (press down on the D pad) after the pitcher selects his pitch (pitches greyed out) during the first pitch of each inning. Sucks to do this every inning, but it works like a charm

Are people getting the "meatball" only the 1st pitch of the inning or the 1st pitch of each batter?

I don't think the "meat ball bug" is really an issue to me. I only regularly see it on the first pitch of each inning and when it does happen I have to say that the next pitch is almost always a ball. Mind you I've adjusted my sliders so it doesn't happen very often... It almost has a feel like it was built in for casual gamers who are notorious first pitch swingers, probably the same people who cried that hitting was too hard.

This I can actually live with. The only thing that really bothers me is the sim cpu strikeout totals are way down this year. Which also has side affect on averages, hr's being up as well.

Does this "Meatball Bug" only effect human batters? I play MoM mode and always witness a variety of balls and strikes as the first pitch for each batter.

Knock on wood, I've never gotten a first pitch meatball or a pitcher stutter.

The consensus seems to be it's the first pitch of the inning or when a new reliever comes in

I have been under the impression that in past years you DO NOT need to restart your franchise when a patch comes out. If these things are fixed, it should fix during your current franchise also. Am I incorrect?

I'm thinking of starting a new one with the Rockies anyway. Enjoying my Nat's one at the moment but sort of waiting on OSFM.

I've got a decent roster with a few prospects on it but I don't like fake players so OSFM was great for me previously
