What is everyone using in their franchise?

Manual. I just want to be able to control what are being scouted. I am looking for certain positions and I don't think the computer would just go for them. I need pitching and catching depth so that's where I focus.

Manual. The downside is that you should check the scouts' every day (no multiple day sims). The upside is that you can reassign a scout to another player if a player's ratings are low before the scouting is complete. I've had a prospect's potential rating drop from a 99 to a 77 and finish up in the high 80's, but I've never seen one drop into the 60's and finish in the 80's. Once a player's potential drops below 75, I reassign the scout to another prospect because the player will end up no better than a B-.

Is there even an on/off switch this year? My scouts are usually auto , unless I say look for something particular

Manual - for now. I'm going to see how it goes, if it gets too involved or tedious then I'll just leave it alone. But knowing how the Braves usually draft I have all but one set looking for pitching right now.

There is, it's located in the main menu of the game. I believe it's in the mode part of the general settings where you setup your profile.
