Running problems?

I've noticed this year when you tell a runner to keep going (lets say rounding 2nd to go to 3rd) a lot of the times they will slow down killing their momentum before continuing. Is this something I'm doing wrong or are others finding the same issue?

I also find it harder to select the runner. Sometimes I'll point to a runner with the thumb pad and it will choose the wrong runner. I didn't have either problem in last years game.
