Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
why are all my swings too early? Any tips how to fix this, I have the speed of the pitches all the way up. It seems like I am swinging on time but its always too early, I still get some hits but its getting annoying.
I'm not exactly sure how HUM Timing slider works with regard to the hitter's "best" timing, but by reducing the timing window (by lowering the Timing slider), you should be penalized more for swinging early or late.

OH that is not what I am looking for. I dont understand how I am swinging early every single time. I would say 90% of the time, the feedback says swing too early.

I was looking for tips to swing on time.
I guess what else can people suggest you doing other than trying to watch the pitch a fraction of second more than you've been doing before.... haha. It's just an adjustment since this aspect of the game seems to be changed from past years.
But lowering the Timing slider was how seanjeezy seemed to fix the same issue for himself. He hits with max pitch speed on Legend. Seemed to magically fix the issue for him at least.

Ok thanks, maybe ill up the level as well. Maybe the pitch speed or timing window being lower is what is messing me up. thanks for the tips.
Swing later. And I'm not trying to be a smart ***, but try to force yourself to go the other way with the ball. I have to do this from time to time, when I start pulling everything, and I still pull the ball.
As far as raising pitch speeds all the way up... something tells me doing this may actually work against you. Because the ball is coming in so quick that you don't have time to see the type of pitch, so you end up swinging early to catch up to everything. Try going back down to default, or maybe even a notch or two lower. Having better pitch recognition might help you wait on the ball more.

That is a good idea. I was not swinging early as much when it was on 5 but i Moved it to 7 and was swinging early so i tried 10.
I can confirm what Nomo said about lowering the Human Timing slider.
I was early on every pitch and when I tried to delay swinging I was not surprisingly late or whiffing the ball. Lowered it by one and it was like playing default on MLB 12.
Oh and I'm playing on HoF with pitch speed default - you may need to go down 1 or 2 depending on the level you are playing.
I had the same problem. I created an offset view (Custom Catcher #2 with some tweaks), which allowed me to get a better depth perception on the pitch... not to mention it helps with judging high/low pitches
play with the camera, and your timing will adjust...
I've turned the pitch speed all the way up this year as well, and was also really early all the time. For me, I found that just seeing more pitches has helped. I wasn't playing my main franchise yet so I just made myself see at least 2 pitches before swinging.
Now that I am playing my franchise, I am not rigid about seeing two pitches, but I have a better idea what speed they are coming and also have a better eye. I find I am late as often as I am early.
One other benefit from this (and the guess pitch changes) is I am no longer a fastball only hitter as I have been in the past. In the past, I only swung at fastballs because that was what I guessed, until I got to two strikes. Now I can crush the hanging breaking ball, or I can sit change-up and tattoo it.
I was having this problem as well, don't recall seeing more than one or two late swings in 20 plus games. I had been using the catcher zoom cam thinking it would help me to hit better since I've struggled with that in the past.
Well last night I switched to the classic catcher cam and started getting a nice mix of early and late swings. It's actually located farther back from the catcher. Shockingly, I am hitting better too and seeing opposite field hits that was never the case on the more zoomed in cams.
This worked for me to get the late swings increased, hopefully it will for you....give it a try
