Pure Analog Hitting

How many of you are using Pure Analog Hitting? What difficulty are you on? What camera angle do you use? Any tips for those that are looking to use the mechanic?

I've gone back and forth from Analog and Timing, but have settled on Analog. It's just more rewarding to me and oddly enough, helps me draw more walks. All-Star difficulty for me.

I created a custom camera based on Catcher Offest and that helps me better gauge if a pitch is inside/outside, which for Analog is key since you need to push the stick up and to the L/R based on location of the pitch.

I use analog hitting on all star with TNK's slider set. Camera angle is default catcher pulled back so I can see the entire batters box and I have raised the camera angle so the strikezone is down lower. I tried offset but just can't hit that way.

I like the analog as well, especially when you turn on one and go yard!

Re: Pure Analog Hitting

I solely use pure analog hitting and I love it. I use a custom hitting camera similar to the "high" batting camera they used to have. It's really zoomed out and the pitcher's waist is usually right in line with the center outfield wall.

I play on all-star with TNK's sliders and I find myself usually getting 6-12 hits a game using it. I find that I also get more walks using it because when I pull back it's easier to hold off going forward than to resist pushing the button.

I pull back just as the pitcher is about to release the ball. Even for the guys with the longer strides, that seems to be the ideal time. I don't use analog with zone, I have a hard enough time as it is!

Pull back just before the pitcher releases the baseball. Have not tried Zone-Analog and will not; that's too much for me to focus on.

Just finished an MLB Live game: Blue Jays (me) at Royals. Won 4-3. I had 9 hits, two of which were HR's. I hit a monster 3-run shot with Bautista off the LF foul pole and Arencibia yanked one to LCF.

Re: Pure Analog Hitting

Pure analog. HOF. I have had games with 10 runs scored and some with 3 hits and zero runs. I get a good variety. The only problem is that I strike out 6 to 14 times a game. I guess I need more practice.
