Re: 102 MPH heaters
Well that’s the first time I seen a Running fastball at 102 mph but I’ve been trying to get the 4 Seam above 102 mph and haven’t been able to do it. It seems capped at 102 mph even with breakings balls at 99 velocity.Comment

Re: 102 MPH heaters
i dont think so because the soft cap on velocity is 100 for fastballs. MAYBE if you throw one high enough and hard enough though... with wind?Comment

Re: 102 MPH heaters
Wasn't that just a one time deal though? I think they should up the cap to maybe 104. That's only because I like seeing those high numbers when I am throwing a fastball.Comment

Re: 102 MPH heaters
I wouldn't say its regular but I mean once or twice a game from him I wouldn't mind seeing him touch 103+. Don't know how they could work that without him being able to throw that consistently. Just checked fangraphs and his average fastball velocity this year is 97. But he definitely has the potential to touch those triple digits I will agree with that.Comment

Re: 102 MPH heaters
my only theory for minimizing that is give him little stamina so people cant crank his heater max effort every timeI wouldn't say its regular but I mean once or twice a game from him I wouldn't mind seeing him touch 103+.
