Over achieved with the Mets in year 2 thanks to a cy young year from Harvey and I somehow made it to the WS despite Harvey getting shelled and not winning a game. ( marcum was my playoff ace) but the As swept me and its all over. Always a bummer to not take advantage of the opportunity but hopefully I can crawl back this year.

Through the years with The Show, I've made 4 playoffs...and got beat up pretty good in the first two playoff seasons (including one sweep). Made the ALCS the 3rd year, and finally won the WS the fourth year. Each playoff loss was tough as I play every game, so with each playoff exit that's a few months or more or playing down the tube. But it is good that the playoffs are hard. And when I finally made the World Series and won it, it was awesome.

Sorry to hear about your struggles gents, but this is what makes The Show the best sports game out there in my opinion. It should be very difficult to win it all, just like real life.
I'm in September year 1 with my Braves franchise currently up 5 games on the 2nd place Nats. I'm hoping I can have a very realistic and fun playoff experience soon.Atlanta area native and sports enthusiast. Aspiring NBA journalist.

I haven't won a World Series since MLB 09. I got a wild card in 11 with the Padres and got swept by the Phillies. In MLB 12 I was up 3-2 in the league championship series with the A's against the Angels and they came back to beat me in 7.
But that's what I love about this game. Getting to the playoffs and winning a championship isn't a foregone conclusion like it is with other sports games.Comment

I hope I can find the patience to play every playoff game this year and keep every game as I finish them. I can't remember the last time I played every game.
What I always end up doing is simming most of the games over and over until I get to where I have 3 wins, then I'll play the next game and win the series.Comment

I play every playoff game as well and about half the season games. I love that I'm not able to win the WS consistently, makes each year a challenge. In the offseason I had to resist the urge to spend and keep with my long term plan of building.
It's weird how well you remember big moments too.
And to Makeplays, came back from 0-2 against the braves to win the nlds. Always play braves games because they are my biggest rival.
