    Stadium Elevation

Why do they include it in the stadium selection screen? Does it have any effect on the gameplay? Not that I really like it or don't like it, I don't mind it. Just wondering.

Supposedly, I don't remember who said it from the mlb team & where I saw it, but I read that in Colorado for instance , Homeruns are more probable than in other stadiums.

        Re: Stadium Elevation

Stadiums in higher elevation have balls that travel further, faster, and straighter. I don't know about the last two, but the ball definately travels further in the game. During my Braves franchise, I took a slight reprieve and played a handful of AAA games. And I decided to test your same thought. There's this one minor league stadium with insane elevation, and I can say balls were flying off the bats like they were hit by aluminum ones. My catcher with 27 PWR put one out. The first four innings were crazy. But I think the sim code kicked in the during the second half, because not as many balls were dropping. And I hit 3 HRs the first four innings, but 0 the rest of the way. Elevation does play a roll, I think.
