Patches/Roster updates outside US

Hey guys

I brought a ps4 just so I could get MLB The Show 14 but i live in new zealand and there is a warning on the site I buy from saying that DLC wont be compatiable as it is the US version of the game.

Does this mean i wont receive roster updates or patches?
Is there a work around for this, like setting my country as the US or something?

You will be able to receive roster updates and patches et cetera. I live in Australia and have bought The Show since '09 and have had zero issues in relation to the game being from the US.

I think the main thing they mean is that the DLC such as purchasing classic stadiums or RTTS points wouldn't work if you bought them from your region's store, which you can't anyway since any DLC for The Show is only available in the US store.

I thought the PS4 wouldnt even be region locked like the PS3 is?

Hi guys, I was just wondering if you any of you had downloaded the OS full minor rosters before being in Australia or New Zealand and does it work?
