Re: Comparison Shots
One thing has always made me somewhat curious is why players don't have the right size ears haha. Just a small nitpick.. Like David Wrights ears are TINY in the game.. They're average size in real life.Harvey's BetterComment

Re: Comparison Shots
My hope is that since the beards were hand drawn that means there was originally a "clean" version. With install space not being much of an issue anymore maybe we see multiple face scans per player.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Re: Comparison Shots
Seems possible if the work was done for it, but I wouldn't bet money on this happening. Creating one model is hard enough when there are so many players. It would be pretty cool to see changing facial and even hair on models, but I don't see the dev team allocating resources to stuff like this. There are more pressing matters that I think they would want to address first.
The other issue might be with the MLBPA or MLB, I'm not sure if there is some approval process for player models. I'm not sure San Diego ha the right to alter player models if they were already approved, even if they are technically more accurate. The approved model might still stand. I'm sure someone on here knows more about what the agreement with MLBPA and MLB is.
Install space is exactly the same as on PS3 though so that isn't really an issue I feel, there is only so much data a Bluray can hold. Maybe if you want to argue they wanted to keep the digital PS3 version small, but there was always plenty of space on PS3. We'll see soon how close to that threshold they are already at on PS4. Since every game is installed I guess theoretically they could get away with some compression on the disc data, then unpack that when its installed. I have no idea how the PS4's install system works, it might just put an image of the disc on the HDD for all I know.Comment

Re: Comparison Shots
I dont think there is.
#1 alot of players look nothing like their real life counterparts.
#2 the new rookies are generally slapped together by hand without face scans
#3 when Bryce Harper came on the scene, SCEA borrowed a CAP from an OS member and used it in their update.
So I cant image there is an approval process of likenesses.
I would think its left to creative interpretation to a point.Last edited by Curahee; 02-15-2014, 08:34 AM.Comment
