MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download at 12:01 AM EST, April 1st (PS3)

MLB 14 The Show will be available at 12:01 AM EST on April 1st as a Day 1 digital download for PS3 users.

Unfortunately, for those of you waiting for the PS Vita version, you will have to wait for the PlayStation Store to update later in the day.

Asked this in a different thread. Will you be able to trade in digital copy of ps3 to upgrade to digital copy for PS4? Don't know much about downloading gms but my blue ray went out on PS3 and it's the only way I can get 14 on PS3.

And if you can will you get a discount on PS4.

I didnt notice it said EST. I think that means i will be able to download at 11:01 pm then, if so thats great.

Nothing official has been announced to support that sort of upgrade yet.

Any idea how many gb it takes up?

I looked at mlb 13 digital download on amazon and it says 21.7 gb. Maybe somebody else can chime in who actually has the download. I figure it would be about the same.

I thik you will find it will be in 2 lots of 10.5 gigs in 2 parts just over 2 hours left now!

What are the odds the servers will be able to handle all of the downloads starting at 12:01EST? Also can I pre-order online with my CC through PSN or do I have to add money to My Wallet and do it on the PS3? Thanks!

I feel like if someone else made this thread it would be considered redundant. This was confirmed a while ago that it would be releasing 12am EST when the preorder was available to purchase.

For those who asked and didn't go digital last year the download last year was split up into two parts. 10.3GB and 11.4GB. Lets assume its the same size.

You will need at least about 33-34GB of space to download and install this not double 21.7GB like with other games if they split it up again this year.

I thought about getting the digital download, but I think I will pass. My internet speed is 6 mbits per second.
By the time it's ready I could have just gone to the store and pick it up. Plus I will have a hard copy to sale when I get the ps4 version or go the gamestop route.

Sorry for being a noob, m not very good at this stuff, 1 reason why I was concerned about doing digital, but decided to give it a try. I hope I dont mess something up.
When you say, 2 different downloads, how does that work? Do I need to do anything or will it do it automatically, with both downloads? Again sorry for being pretty incompetent when it comes to this stuff.

the reason for 2 downloads is if you get disconnected for some reason you wouldnt have to download 20 gig again (I Think)

I think it just auto downloads both
