I wonder what happens in my case. I already bought the PS3 version and paid for the PS4 version fully at the time of purchase.

Edit: worst case I could always cancel my PS4 pre-order and do the transaction all over again.

Good news ... now the irrational "fun" side of my brain needs to convince the rational "practical" side of my brain that I will eventually be buying a PS4 console and now is as good a time as ever ... except that now is not the best time for me forking out $450 + tax on a gaming console when I have more important things to be spending my money on.

Sometimes the irrational "fun" side does win the battle, sometimes it doesn't.

I have canceled pre-orders in the past at my local eb games so you should be able to. Either get your money back or put it on another game.
