I personally don't think I would want it in a video game, but I would not mind if it was optional.

Why don't you want it? I mean it's every other game that has instant replay. Meaning you can challenge in Madden, in NHL the refs will go over and check to make sure that it was a good goal, and in 2K the refs will go to over to the sidelines and see if the shot was shot before the buzzer. So if I had guess it will be coming and I don't think it will be completely optional. By that I mean in the first 6 innings optional for you, last 3 it's up to the ref.

I myself like to go through a season without all the bells and whistles because I do the whole season in franchise. I turn the bells and whistles back on when I play rival teams and the playoffs. If it meant for anyone to miss authenticity for not having the option at all, then I would like rather have the developers to include them in. If there is an option to turn it off, I would like that too.

I wouldn't be so certain either as the system they have in the "real mlb" is absolutely terrible. It will be adjusted over the winter I would hope, which means scea need to have some confirmation of the actual rules in time for next years game. Personal I hope it's done away with in the the form it's carried out now. It's kinda a joke format now

It's so funny that most people, including myself, were clamoring for instant replay and now that it's arrived I'm not a fan. Personally, I wouldn't want the ability to challenge but it would add authenticity to game to have the animation of the manager going out to challenge.

I think the devs are better off taking a wait and see approach since replay is in it's infancy. The process IRL is almost comical at this point. Manager runs out takes as much time as possible for his bench coach to review the play and waits for the signal before challenging. It just feels corny.

I don't mind replay and getting the call right I just hate how stupidly it's been implemented. I hate all replay that has a challenge system. It's making it ok to get some calls right and putting the onus on the wrong thing. I'd prefer if they just committed to getting the calls right and not the pony show it is now. Speed the pitchers up, use the rules already available to move to game along and let coaches ask for a quick replay in ones that are needed

well, lets be honest.....ever major sport has a challenge/replay system now. we all knew it was going to be coming to baseball eventually, the only problem with the replay system RIGHT now is that it's BRAND NEW TO THE SPORT. in 3-4 years time when they have most of the kinks out of the system, everybody will be saying "what did we ever do without replays?" "replays are so great, glad they have them now". i, for one, am glad the replay system is in baseball now and i dont agree with some of these rule changes that were put in due to this new system. next year i'm sure the transfer rule will go back to its original state, the new rule is really ******** and i'll probably never understood why they changed it. just expect the replay system to get better, it has in EVERY sport it was put in. first year rule or gameplay changes are never perfect and there will always be changes made till they get it set up right.

The transfer rule has already been amended to be as it was before.

I don't, I think it's the only way to go. When you don't have a challenge system they end up watching replays all game long. Like in college football, way to many replays. They should go to the NFL replay system, that works great I think.

As far as replay in baseball, I think it's an ok system. I think it will be improved over the next couple of years, but it's working ok right now. They still are blowing some calls with it, but we have also seen some calls changed that have effected the game. I think they will get it worked out and then we will see it in The Show next year I would think.

I for one am not a fan of instant replay challenges in video game. For one all it does is slow down the game and make it take longer. My other reason is i never win challenges in Madden even if you watch the replay and the game clearly got the call wrong.

I'm not against replay and I'm not a baseball "traditionalist" I just hate the sad show that goes on now. And my problem with challenges is the fact you can have a major call not be reviewed because some coach got a close call wrong early in the game? I guess not all calls deserve to be right.

Re: any talk of instant replay

I love replay just cuz I've seen way too many absurdly poor calls that were beyond just human error. And calls that bad need to be corrected. The problem with the execution so far is that every little close call is being potentially challenged and it's watering it down. Its almost like they should only use the replays on the biggest plays with the most obviously missed calls but of course that is subjective and since we can't officially say what is a big play and what isn't, we are forced to have the challenge system.

I'm not sure how to go about improving the system but eventually they'll get it right.
