I love Matt both in the game and IRL. It's too bad that they're probably not allowed to include some of the funny voices he does in the game. Among my favorites are his Thom Brennaman impression and the goofy Australian voice he does when talking about Grant Balfour even though Balfour doesn't even talk like that. He's got a certain tongue-in-cheek humor that makes him awesome doing MLB Tonight and play-by-play. Most of that humor isn't in the game, but a little bit of it is.

I love the Animal House line he did on a home run call about 12 years ago. Unfortunately, I can't find the audio for it anymore, but my brother and I both cracked up when we heard it.

I think he sounds better on the PS4 version. Always get a kick out of him commenting on the dancing fans in between innings.

Personally I find the audio quality much better than many other sports games out there by other <cough> (EA) companies.

I would like to see the timing of the audio more in sync with the action. The audio always seems to be behind on foul balls and some of the other events.

That happened I want to say back in 98 or 99 for one of the MLB series games. It wasn't good because it didn't allow Scully to be the storyteller he is.

Man, he told a 5-minute story on Mother's Day about a hunchbacked batboy in the 20s who brought teams good luck and discoursed on all the teams he played for, the rituals they did, etc. Super politically incorrect, but classic Scully, and that kind of stuff would never make it in-game.

I enjoy Matt's commentary a lot. The Show still has the best announcers out of all the sports titles. Even if some of their lines are dated by 5 years lol
