What do you guys do in a slump?

    MLB 13

What are your guys tactics to break out of a cold spell?

I usually change accessories on my player. If that doesn't work after a couple changes and it gets really bad, I will change my batting stance. Usually changes my timing at the plate.

I change the batting stance. It could be just a mental thing but it sometimes works.

Throw a controller when I lose a close game against an unworthy opponent because I can't hit at that time. That's pretty much the first thing.

For a specific player I might move him down in the lineup. If I just can't seem to hit with anyone I'll usually do some small-ball.

I make my RTTS player "shave." If that doesn't work, he'll continue to "clean up his act" by going from baggy pants to the cleaner-looking long pants.

If that doesn't work, then I sacrifice a chicken on my living room floor while hanging upside-down and drinking rum.

I wear the spring training uniforms until we can get on a roll... Also I would have everyone have their pants style as high socks.

I Don't know what it is about the visual part of it, but sometimes it works for me.

Right now is not working as Im currently on a 6 game losing streak. SMH

                      1. Wear alternate jerseys. So for Marlins - their bright orange and for the BoSox, their red. It's just a mental thing, but baseball is mostly a mental game.

                      2. Focus on walks - that will make me be patient and see the ball.

                      3. Simplify - if I've been influencing swing too much, I'll stop. If I use guess pitch/location (I don't often, but sometimes I try if I feel a slump coming on), I'll stop. No contact/power swinging (I try to determine on the fly to power or not with less than 2 strikes and contact with 2 strikes or other situations), just try to see the ball (point 2) and just hit X.

Things I do in a slump

                        Change batting stance

Turn off PS3 after a game and play the next day

If I continue to struggle I will put the game down for a day or 2. Usually when I struggle its because Im pressing and just need a break. My slumps dont seem to last as long this yr as in the past. I think QC has help with that, cause I dont feel the need to press to get thru a game or season. QC has made franchise even more enjoyable because I dont feel the need to rush or get so many games in.
