Simulation Baseball Dedication League

League Description

This will be a 162 game Sim League That is Intended For The Hardcore, Dedicated Fan Only. It will begin with Simulation Baseball Full Minors Rosters V.3 and the SBDL franchise will continue as you build them throughout the years.

If we can import the SBDL Rosters to 15, they will be updated with the last season's ratings and rosters for each team, if not we will continue on 14 until no longer provided with The Show 14 servers.

Our goal is to be a League where The Hardcore, Dedicated Fan never wants to leave. We are about being True To The Game and True To Each Other while Maintaining Standards that Everyone Must Meet to be a part of Dedication League. We emphasize Communication With Sportsmanship, Fair Treatment of All Members, Adherence to The Rules and an Acceptance of The Consequences When One Fails To Do So.

Starting Rosters

We are waiting for release, they will be Simulation Baseball Full Minors V.3 which is based off 2014 Stats as of June 2014 and Steamer Updated Projections using accurate formulas and data. This Custom Roster not only has realistic attribute ratings but graphics editing on players' faces and equipment for the players that needed adjustment as well as the Minor Leagues Top Twenty 2014 Prospects for each team, updated transactions up to release and more. Thank you to Mizzou24 for his hard work and those who are assisting him. Here is a link to the Roster Discussion.

The Weekly and Monthly Awards will be voted upon by all users in the League as a whole. Candidates will be chosen at the end of each cycle by RobG1564 and voting will take place over a 24 hour period in Awards Voting Section in The Forum Topics Section. The winners will be placed in the Weekly and Monthly Awards Thread of the League Forum.

A running record of each year's MVP, Cy Young, Silver Slugger, Delivery Man of The Year, Rookie of The Year, Hank Aaron Award and Gold Glove Winners will be kept as well. (Listed with User Name if a User Player)

A history will be kept of each World Series Champion, American League Champion, National League Champion, Division Champions and Wild Cards for each season of Dedication League's existence. (Listed with User Name if a User Team)

LEAGUE RULES:

!!! SEASON 1 Free Agency for Players, Scouts, Coaches and Managers is OFF LIMITS.!!!

!!! QUITTING A GAME MEANS QUITTING THE LEAGUE !!! You will be removed from the League.

1. League Schedule - Open/Manual Advance
1a) 3 Series will be open/authorized at a time with a Manual Advance After the Completion of every 2 Series. Advances will be every 7 days unless everyone finishes their games early.
1a-a) Anyone who plays a game outside of the authorized Open Series will receive disciplinary action of Your Best Rated Starting Pitcher being suspended for 2 scheduled starts and Your Best Rated Position Player for 10 games. A 2nd non-compliance will result in removal from the Dedication League.

3. Pitching -
3a) 5 MAN ROTATION - Every team has to use a 5 man rotation and use the first pitcher in pitcher selection screen for games.
3b) No quick pitching! You need to give the other player time to substitute if they want to. Let them have time to prepare mentally for the next pitch.
3c) You are not required to throw any pitch right down the middle but throw strikes at least 60% of the time and keep balls as close to the zone as possible.
3d) Dirt balls/Overhead balls happen but they should not be happening 10-15 times a game.. These should happen at a minimum and should be accidental.
3e) Pitchers should be mixing up pitches and using their full arsenal not just two pitches a game.
3d) Do Not Intentionally Hit The Batter
3d-d) The pitcher used to Intentionally Hit A Batter will be Suspended for 2 Scheduled Starts or 10 games if a Relief Pitcher.

4. Base Running -
4a) Stealing - Do Not start your steal before Pitcher starts delivery to the plate!
4b) On Infield Hits - Base runners can only advance 1 base on infield hits unless there is a throwing error.
4c) Dropped 3rd Strikes - Base runners can't advance on dropped 3rd strikes unless: already in the act of stealing, it's a force out situation or it's a wild pitch to the back stop.

7. Fielding -
7a) Do Not Attempt to throw out a Runner advancing from Home to First on a hit ball to Right Field.

8. Batting -
8a) Bunting should be realistic, so to sacrifice over a runner and with speed guy's and that's it.
8a-a) Suicide Squeeze is Not Allowed! This is due to poor fielder reactions on bunts.

9 Bench Players
9a) We know that with no fatigue ratings being used it is tempting, mostly for AL Teams, to not play Bench Players unless there is an injury. Having said this the Bench Player play between 15%-20% of a Team's games. With call ups/downs this can be very difficult as well as time consuming to monitor and enforce. Therefore we are trusting that are dedicated to being Sim as a Team Manger and will make a point of your Bench Players at least 24 times in a Full Season. Be True to the Game and True to Each Other!

10 Rain Outs
10a) Any Blue Screens, Permanent Freezes, Server Disconnects of any type will be handled as if it were a Rained Out Game.
10a-a) Rain Outs will be considered complete(regulation game) under the following conditions.
10a-a1) Five Innings Have Been Completed.
10a-a2) If the Home Team is leading after the Top of the Fifth has been completed. {In these first two scenarios the game will be reset and simmed until appropriate team wins so that there will be stats for that game.}
10a-a3) If the Game is tied or rained out before any of the above conditions are met then the game will be reset and replayed.

11 OPTIONS
11a) Hitting- You can use what you want.
11b) Pitching- You can use what you want.
11c) Base Running: You can use what you want.

12) Selection of Game Time and Weather
12a) Home Team Fast cycles both and starts the game.
12a-a) If weather is Rain, Fast Cycle again.

Scheduling Rules

The Scheduling Thread will be used to schedule the first 2 series that are open, in the 3 series open/authorized schedule, with an Advance Date generally at the end of a seven day period. The first 2 series are the highest priority.

All games that are open can be played at any time, but the focus will be the first 2 open series because of the Advance.

On the Advance date the first 2 series will be simmed/resolved if there are any unplayed games and the next 2 series will be opened up. After the Advance is complete the first 2 series open will be scheduled in the Scheduling Thread and be the Highest Priority of Games to play out of the 3 open series. All games that are open can be played at any time, but again the focus will be the first 2 open series because of the Advance. USE THE SCHEDULING THREAD.

Un-Excused/Excused Absences

Regarding simulating/resolving of games at Advance. If a person is not able to play any games during the scheduled week due to Personal/Family Emergency, Family Vacation/Work Schedule not lasting more than 2 weeks or Temporary Military Service not lasting more than 3 weeks the absent person's team will be set to CPU so that the opponents, for current advance only, can play against them. If both people post in the Scheduling Thread and make a mutual effort to get the series played but are unable to play then any unplayed game(s) of the series will be simulated. If a person does not post available times in the Scheduling Thread and make an effort to find an agreeable time(s) to play than all unplayed games in that series will be resolved giving the win(s) to their opponent.

If you have 2 weeks out of a 3 consecutive weeks period where your games have to be simmed/resolved for your opponent due to an un-excused reason that is not listed above, or you fail to schedule in the Current Scheduling Thread, you will be removed from the League.

No General Simulation
The Season will be played out all the way through the World Series. There will be no simming of Months or the Year of Any Seasons.

Trade Proposals
There is no limit on Trades, but not all trades will be necessarily be approved. Trades have to be approved by League Committee. Trades will be posted on both the Online Franchise and the League Forum's Trade Proposals OS Thread. In the OS Thread post as follows:
