3 Spots to Fill - A's - Tigers and Rays, Only

I have TWO spots left to fill for our MLB '15 The Show Online full 30 man league. (Tigers have been Filled)

Just below are the rules READ THEM FIRST. Then IF you are good with everything there, you can let me know you are interested by replying to this thread.

In your reply PLEASE INCLUDE:

Your Name:
Your PSN:
Team (A's - Tigers - Rays)

You will be selected in order of reply. You will have 24 HOURS TO RESPOND to a PSN message I will send you. If it takes longer than that, you are not active online enough for this league and I will move to the next person. FYI, this post is cross posted on other sites. Time stamps will be used to determine who was first.

READ THIS FIRST

SEASON LENGTH - We will play an 40 game season. This allows for a good pennant race to develop, teams to build and competition to evolve. It is also short enough that we can get through more than one season in a year.

SETTINGS - We will play on HOF difficulty for both HITTING and PITCHING.

*MUST USE EITHER, ZONE + Analog OR Zone + Buttons*
*USE ANY TYPE OF PITCHING METHOD OF YOUR CHOOSING*
*FIELDING SETTINGS ARE YOUR CHOICE*

Guess Pitch - off
Quick Counts - off
Strike Zone - on
Hot Zones - off
Balks - off
Injuries - on
Ejections - on
Presentation Mode - Broadcast
Umpire Balls and Strikes - Variable
Roster Management - Manual
Lineups/Rotations - Manual
Staff Management - Manual
Scouting - Manual
Trade Block Management - Manual
Trades - Manual

Starting Rotation - We use a five man pitching rotation, which must be posted by each owner on the forums before opening day. Once posted, owners must fallow their rotation in order. We DO NOT allow owners to use the same pitcher twice in a series or start a relief pitcher at any time, nor can a starting pitcher come in the game in relief for any reason during regular season or playoffs. (Game 7 of the W.S. is the only exception. You may use any player on your roster available)

Playing styles - We will not tolerate complaining of any kind when it comes to an individual’s style of play! Example: No complaining about how many balls someone throws in a game. It's simple, DON'T SWING!! Now if for any reason an opponent is breaking a league rule by quick pitching/stealing every runner or abusing a gm exploit etc, FIRST, ask them about it in a questioning manner, not a accusatory manner. IF you are not satisfied, report them to the league commissioner (PSN: ShootingCanons - SGO: The_206). If Possible, include a link to said violation from a stream and include the minute marker where it happened. Just remember that everyone has their own style of play and if you can't make the correct adjustments in game, then that is on you not your opponent.

SCHEDULING - We will play at a pace of at least one 3-4 game series per 7 day week. If everyone has completed their games, we will advance sooner and move to the next series.

STREAMING - Streaming your game is mandatory; the away team should stream the game while home team hosts. The stream can be cut if it causes lag. There is a thread for everyone to post a link to their twitch stream in forums.

UNPLAYED GAMES - In the event that a game or series is unable to be played, one of two things will happen: First - If there is one party who is unable to meet the schedule for any given reason, the win(s) will go to the opponent. Second - If neither person is able to agree on a schedule time and equal effort has been made, the game(s) will be simulated. Once these decisions have been made, all results are final.

ADVANCING WEEKS - We will advance to the next series on Wednesday’s at 10:00pm Pacific Standard Time. All games not played at that time are subject to the “Unplayed Games” rules above.

PLAYOFFS - One slight deviation to real life here. Wild Card playoffs will be a 3 game series and the divisional round will be a 7 game series. You guys will have put in a lot of work and dedication to make the playoffs and deserve to play as many playoff games as possible.

TRADES - Trades will be allowed, but in an effort to keep interest in the game, you can make 1 trade for every 12 games played. This also prevents wholesale trading of rosters throughout the season. A trade can involve as many players and teams as you like, but once that trade is complete, all teams involved must play another 12 games before they can be involved in a trade again. All trades will also be voted on for approval. (See power structure for voting approval)

Free Agent - We will have a one round draft, week one, to allow you to pick up one of the top free agents based on team overalls (worst to first) . After the draft you will only be allowed to sign 1 free agent per week with approval from the commissioner. The only exception to this rule is if a team has enough hurt players to the point it puts them below a minimum at a position, then you will get to sign one player to fill that position so you will be able to play your game with approval from admin. *ALL FA PICKUPS MUST BE POSTED ON SITE AND MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE YOU CAN PICK THEM UP*

POWER STRUCTURE

TRADES: So that we don't have to get a vote from every member of the league to approve a trade, each division will have a representative that will vote on trades on behalf of their division. This eliminates waiting days upon days for all teams to cast a vote and helps move the process along quicker. Division representatives will be decided once all team slots have been filled. The divisions that are involved in the trade will not vote. In the case of a vote ending in a tie, the commissioner will cast the deciding vote. In the event that a trade involving the commissioner's team ends in a tie, voting will be opened to the entire league minus the commissioner leaving a 29 team vote, majority rules.

LEAGUE RULES AND GENERAL BUSINESS: In the case of the changing of league rules or other substantial decisions not including trades, all team owners in the league will have a vote and the division representative system will be bypassed.

COMMUNICATION - We will use the “Juuuust A Bit Outside” GroupMe (We will need your cell number or email for this) chatroom as well as the SGO site to communicate most of the league wide news and info. Game scheduling can be done via messenger through groupme, email, PSN, and forums or however members see fit to communicate for scheduling.

WHAT IS REQUIRED - First, dedication to the league. We need you to play your games in a timely manner and be flexible with your opponent's schedule. Stick with it. The league has been designed in a way that struggling teams can improve. Be a good sport, don't be a dick. We are all adults, act like it. Trash talking (other than friendly fun) will not be tolerated and you will be removed from the league. Most important, have fun, after all, it’s not just a game, it’s a game of a game. Take your business within the game seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously. We are looking for good guys (or gals) that want to have fun playing The Show, that are committed to their team and want to stick out a full season... or 10.

WHEN WILL WE START - I have the game pre-ordered, so I will pick it up on the 31st. We will give everyone two weeks to get the game and to get in some practice getting used to any changes and differences in the feel of the game. During this time, I recommend you add everyone in the league to your friends list and play as many games as you can against as many different league members to get a feel for how guys play. Consider this our Spring Training period. This will also allow time for some decent sliders to be developed and tested. If all goes well we are shooting for an April 15th Opening Day. Counter tax day with some baseball. If necessary, we will delay by one week.

3 OTHER THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. Be an active player at all times in this league . Part of being active includes sending messages EVERYDAY AND CHECKING YOUR PHONE & THE SITE REGULARLY TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS TEXTED YOU. Starting day before advance you are to start contacting your next opponent and setting up your game times and days. Players found to not be active enough may face a boot.

2. Even if you can see you’re not in the playoff race, it is still your duty to this league to get your games in quickly. Do not drag your feet and wait till last day . It's your duty as a team owner in this league to get your games in quickly, regardless of your standings. You are holding the whole league up by not doing so, think of others more than yourself. If you want to be in a good healthy league, then it takes each member to do their part to keep it that way . Otherwise you cause other active players to quit, which then causes others to doubt if they want to stick around for that. So if you have to be told numerous times to hurry up and get your game in, you will be the one getting booted.

3. You may not drop any player, and then turn around and resign them in order to get a smaller contract on them FOR ANY REASON. Anyone caught doing this will be forced to bench that player for the rest of the season, and then will be forced to release that player in the off-season right before FA bidding to be bid on by the rest of league in FA bidding. There will be people assigned to periodically check transaction log for this type of thing.
