Player scans disappearing!?

Currently on my PS5 (latest patch) the list of players below are missing their face scans and are replaced with the "default face" that we have experienced last year also. Anybody know of a fix??

Nope you can't fix it faces are not on the roster file they are on the game data. the player ID on the roster just tells you what the face link and audio file is. no way to fix that at all. they probably did it for room or something which to be honest in 2022 is no excuse to remove players faces it's not like we are on a PS2 disk with limited room

I have an issue with a roster set (not sure which is the base for what I use) where player photos are disappearing. I play with the Sox a lot and I noticed that Moncada's photo is gone when he comes to bat. Noticed the same for Bryce Harper recently when I moved him up from the minors (must have been a roster where he was on the IL at the time).

As far as I know it’s a licensing issue. Players like Molina, Pujols and to a lesser extent Kurt Suzuki have retired and the MLBPA won’t allow their images being used if they aren’t part of active MLB.

For others like Bryce Harper (haven’t seen this one yet) it may be that the player doesn’t agree to their face being in the game. Michael Jordan did this way back in the early stages of NBA LIVE. It’s frustrating for sure..

I would sure as heck hope so, I am trying desperately to obtain more mileage out of this years game and cannot overlook this when playing Franchise.

0% chance it is looked at all the focus will be on MLB 23 now and 22 won't get a look in to fix anything now

They can never keep a roster right it seems. always gonna remove players or faces etc can never improve a roster for the better it's always add and remove.

MLB 21 got a patch around Thanksgiving to fix an issue, so I wouldn't write off 22 getting a patch to fix this.

This isn't a fix though it it done on purpose.. tatis was removed not put back in. This is the downfall of having all REAL players and not fake players. for some reason they have a limit of how many faces they can have on their data (no excuse for 2022) I dunno if they do this so that the player doesn't have mass more data or if it is to do with their file system and has to have a limit of how much face data they can have, all I know it their has to be a limit because they keep removing and adding faces never just adding faces and keeping others.

I've had the same issue with the same players. No idea why it's happened and no way to reverse it. I legitimately traded away players with this face so i can stop looking at it every game.

Very frustrating but unlikely to be fixed in a patch.

Are they going to fix this. It's really immersive breaking when you see a Joe random player model in your franchise

I’m on ps4 playing on Ps5 and this issue is not a problem all face scamming are in the game on the ps4 version ! Seems too me it’s a glitch on the ps5 version which comes too my conclusion it’s not a MLB Players licensing issue .
