Number work around

Took a lot of luck but my investment of time paid off.
1) First select team.
2) Pick Player with wrong number
3) Export Position Player
4) Save
5) Check your Player he should have correct number.

Thanks your welcome except not sure if it carries over when you start your season. I haven't gotten that far yet. In progress with creating legendary players.

I can confirm this also helps fix legends numbers that were not sticking when put on a team.

Move legend to his team (Hank Aaron)

Number says 45 instead of 44

Click import player

Instead of importing a player over Hank Aaron, just back out and he should have his correct number (44)

It changes back if you edit the player after, so do edits first and then do this trick.

Not sure if it will work in franchise but at least solves exhibition

Tried it with a few legends on different teams having this issue and seemed to work on all

Great find but I need to ask you a question with MLB 21 as I don't want to waste months of editing on jerseys I can't use. Basically in postseason mode or franchise when I'm in the select team screen I can't choose uniforms for either me or the computer did I glitch something or is this a bug they never fixed. Thanks in advance

As I recall you must have that team selected on the schedule calendar to have the option to select their uniforms for a specific game.

You could put one on the board Yes ! For Don Cropper ! Mercy . The crazy part was I know I played at least a game or two where I was able to choose uniforms, I thought I lost my marbles that's why I thought maybe I glitched something .
I sent you a PSN invite if you're interested even though I don't play online but I prefer communicating through there when working on rosters.

I still like 20 but 21 really gives a fresh coat of paint with custom stadiums and visually it's a decent upgrade for the PS5 power
So do you play any other current versions than MLB 20 ?

This is FANTASTIC!! You just made my day. I'm switching all my players who couldn't get their number in MLB 23. Works like a charm in both roster creation and in franchise play. Great find!
