Re: OS All-Time Roster

Just a heads up, Jeff Nelson on the Ms threw out of the stretch and had a sidearm delivery (making his slider that much more nasty to right handers). Here's a video:

If anyone knows what delivery that equates to, might be good to post it here.

Wish this game had a tagging system for stances and deliveries. In this instance, just select the tags "Sidearm" and "Stretch" and you could narrow it down.

Re: OS All-Time Roster

I Forgot they did label some stretch windups. A quick search: For Nellie, Veteran Stretch 24. Looks like that may even be him.

Also, should probably give him a 2 seamer as well, or a running FB. That was the thing that made him so effective, slider went one way and fastball the other.

So that's my contribution. Paypal donations accepted.

Re: OS All-Time Roster

Thanks for the info. Do you remember him actually throwing a cutter? Or was that just an modified version of the slider. The Neyer/James book had fB, sl, cut. I'll change the 4 seam to a 2 seam. Do you think I should change the cut to a running fb? Changed the delivery as well. Good info.

If Neyer/James lists a cutter, then he probably threw one at some point, or at least threw it rarely. I seem remember him being primarily a two pitch pitcher.

I don't know, I'd probably leave the cutter, and change the fastball.

Re: OS All-Time Roster

Turns out you need 5 teams specifically from each league to start a playoffs. I thought you could mix and match. One more NL team is needed.

I should be done with Cincinnati by the end of the day, or maybe the morning of the 5th. If you'd like I can post a new roster when Cinci finished. Happy 4th of July.

That would be great, as long as it's no extra burden. I know roster creation can be a lot of work.
