Re: Steve Pearce

As for Pearce improving to fast he's already 31.. And obviously looking at his past he has improved vastly in just one year. The guy deserves props he is killing it..

Re: Steve Pearce

If u average his years out his numbers would change drastically however.. But the dudes projected to be one of the top hitters in the league average wise..

Re: Steve Pearce

My only issue is he's only been doing it for one month. Even the first two months of this year he wasn't great (and was actually DFAed).

I feel a bit dirty going that high with the ratings. Wish SCEA would release a ratings update soon, as well.

One thing you could do is to average the ratings out between the guy who posted his numbers on Steve Pearce and some of the more prominent roster sets available (OSFM v2.0, Hybrid) and that would water down any over-emphasis on a small sample while still maintaining some of Pearce's improvement. Just a thought.

Re: Steve Pearce

It's not a small sample btw that's based off a full season just projected. Rest of the season is projections from steamers.

But it is a small sample if you're giving Steven Pearce the hitting attributes of Vladimir Guerrero. Before this year, Pearce had never had more than 188 PAs in a year, never more than 4 HRs in a year, is a career .256 hitter (including his .338 this year) so you can probably understand why people would meet high 70s/80s contact and high 60s/70s power attributes with a quizzical look. It's the same reason Millennium is hesitant to boost Pearce up that much--it actually is a very small sample so far (174 PA) regardless of what Steamer, ZiPS or anyone is saying.

Re: Steve Pearce

Pearce was updated in today's SCEA roster! Here is what he has:

OVR 70

CNR 63
CNL 64
PWR 52
PWL 60
VIS 66
DIS 75
CLU 67
BNT 19
DRG 14
DUR 32

FLD 57
ARM 65
ACC 52
REA 54

SPD 42
STL 5
BRA 8

Those ratings seem very fair. It will be the Pearce I use for now.
