Ended up choosing the Reds. (Currently 2-1. Having a blast with Davis, Larkin, Kal Daniels, etc. Young Rob Dibble & Norm Charlton are waiting to be called up and form 2/3rds of the Nasty Boys!)

Other teams I like:
Mets
Twins
Cubs
A's
Cardinals
Pirates
Royals (Bo Freaking Jackson)

Pretty much this entire roster! This is when Baseball was at it's best for me.

I ended up choosing the Reds too. Played my first two games last night, lost both. Eric hasn't gotten it going yet. I strongly considered the Mets and Pirates as well, but the beauty of 30 team control is I can change teams if I want in the future!

Exactly you can always move to another team with 30 team control. I started 0-5 out of the gate but have won 2 straight. I am going to really have to pull some crap outta my *** to win with this Yankees pitching staff. But I have a lot of confidence in myself and this offense to get into the post season.

Toronto is nasty...just plain nasty. They are loaded.

My hope is I can develop Roberto Kelly, Jay Buhner, and Hall Morris and draft some potential stud arms to develop. Time will tell I can win one for Donny Baseball. The closet I came was on MLB 12 with Knights 1994 set and I lost in the ALCS as the White Sox blew me out 4 games to 1.

The Jays did have a great team, I like that team a lot. I had to open up against the Cards, who are just ridiculously fast! You have several table setters on that team and Jack Clark there to clean it all up. My top four starters ERA for '87 ranged from 4.37-5.02 - and I'm pitching in the band box that is GABP! Could be a long season!

Cubs.

Allows you to experience the tragic frustration born out of having three future hall-of-famers on a last place team.

The Cubbies have some talent in the Minors too. Nice choice!

The '87 Cubs had the potential to match the '84 Cubs.
3 HoF'ers plus a supporting cast with name marquee.
Rafael Palmeiro & Lee Smith have Hall numbers, though it's well documented how Palmiero achieved his numbers.
Rick Sutcliffe, Leon Durham, Jody Davis, Shawon Dunston, Manny Trillo, Jamie Moyer
What this team lacked was a great manager to mesh those talents.

Just lost to them 7-4. Jamie Moyer junk balled me for 7 innings till I tagged him for 4 runs in the 8th.

Shaun Dunston homered. Ryno tripled. Jody Davis mashed. Indeed a high potential team.
