For power I would use HR rate- maybe slugging as well?
For contact use AVG
What do you guys use for Walks and K's?
BB% and K% is pretty easy to find and that's what I use for batter discipline and vision.

Just out of curiosity and when I skimmed, I didn't see any mention if it, but is this what we're going to be getting for the Revision Rosters? I sure hope so, because it sounds like you've nailed it. Bravo, man.

As far as I can tell these ratings are being used in Willard's roster. I'm not involved in that project, though.

In some part, these ratings were also used as a guideline for OSFM v1 to help creators standardize their ratings and to avoid people being downright homers for their teams. Many teams followed it; a few did not. I've made some slight tweaks since then as well.

Shiny, hopefully those tweaks got added to Willard's plan, but if not, hopefully it won't hurt it too much. Sounds like an awesome set of ratings you've concocted.

We got the most most recent version of the ratings so they should be in there. These numbers are as tight as I have seen. WTNY did a better than phenomenal job in my opinion

You guys take an already great game to a whole new level, and it is greatly appreciated, even if some guys are super ****ty about how they go about showing it. Thanks for everything that you, and everyone involved, do.

Couple of quick questions.

Why the low K ratings for starting pitchers?

Also noticed a lot of 50steal 10aggressivness for slow base runners.

Love the batting ratings. Those are spot on in my opinion.

"Low K ratings" is a bit of a mischaracterization. In my opinion, the ratings and stats they produce are quite good even if every pitcher isn't within 0.01 K/9 of what you might think.

The stealing ratings grapple with the fact that a lot of players don't actually have a history of stealing at all, so it's a compromise between weighting a player down as probably not going to run (hence 10 aggressiveness) and a coin flip as to whether he'd actually be decent at it. One of the problems people have is equating speed with stealing ability. While having speed doesn't hurt, there are many slow-footed players that know how to pick their spots as there are many fast players that successfully steal at a poor rate.
