    Re: Pittsburgh Pirates Edits

With the new patch we can once again change primary positions without losing the secondary position. I left Lambo at 1B because of this glitch, now that it's fixed I changed Lambo to RF primary and his glove should be all black with modified trapeze web (that's what he uses in the OF)

    Also I changed Pedro's stance back to Laird/2H/stride 1

Check out Nick Franklin for Pedro Alvarez stance. Need to edit to 2H follow-through.

Edit: On second though, nm I tested it. Think Laird looks best when he's not moving the bat around. Laird or E Johnson.

Did you get to check out the Hanson with a slap swing?

I am grateful for the effort put into the osfm rosters and specifically the Pirates.

That said, I am a little curious about how Austin Meadows has been rated. His 88 potential seems fair enough, but his overall puts him pretty far away from being even a decent major league player. Most prospect sites project his mlb arrival to be 2017-2018. Yet, in the osfm rosters he has an overall of 49 which projects to be a low-mid 60's overall by 2018. It will take him roughly 8 years of development just to break 80 overall in the game.

I'm not trying to be critical, just trying to figure out the logic here. I could be off base here as well.

Not sure, I didnt do ratings. GoBucs might be able to answer for you. I know the OSFM guys had a strict ratings system they wanted us to follow, so I don't know.

If it takes him 8 years to be in the 80s overall then it seems about right. He is 19 years old, that means he will be 27 years old by the time he is an 80s rated player. That is pretty good. I mean, right now he is a good prospect but not in the Trout or Cutch category to be a high 90s player. In the 80s he will comparte to Marte and that is pretty good.

So they fixed mccutchens hair but it wouldn't be automatically fixed in your roster that I already had would it?

McCutchen's hair changed in my already-started franchise with the OSFM rosters, so I imagine the answer is yes.

I found another one for Alvarez to go along with E Johnson and Laird. Try Veteran 167 (2H). His hands are in the right position compared to Johnson or Laird, just the bat isn't hanging all the way down on the shoulder, but it matches his movements pretty well.

Yes it will automatically update his hair on any roster.

Ok, so Pedro keeps changing his stance. I have been using Kelly Johnson/2H for him now. I also switched Casey Sadler to E. Johnson stance.

                          Tree,

I'm about a week into the season with your OSFM Pirates edits roster. I wanted to post this here first before starting its own thread to see if you or any other Bucs fans have seen this. (Not that I believe it's limited to just this roster version) And I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, so here goes....

With every Pirate, or opposing player, the game says "1st career home run", (like every bit of their history has been erased) after hitting a home run. Like everyone is a rookie. This even happened a few times on guys' second HR of the year. It's really annoying, and I cringe at the thought of playing 162 and hearing this every game. Is this a glitch? Has anyone else mentioned it?

                          Thanks.

I have not started a season yet. I'm still in spring training. But I have read about others experiencing the same thing. It's a glitch that hopefully gets fixed.

Jeff Karstens officially retired today. https://instagram.com/p/2RLZYri7Kx/

Sad Day. He was always one of my favorite Pirates when he played. Despite his velocity he always seemed to give the Bucs a much needed great starting pitching performance when it was most needed.

I am thinking about creating a CAP of him with service time and stats if possible. I know he hasn't pitched for 3 years but would love to have him in the game. Does anyone know of a CAP of him out there or anyone with close stats and service time?

Are you playing season mode or franchise? This happened to me in season mode only and I assumed that is a glitch for this mode or maybe it happens because the mode does not keeps a record of statistics for more than a season.
In franchise mode everything is fine, it even registered the 1,000 hits for Cutch.
