How to use updated roster

I was wondering how you are allowed to use the most recent roster update. When I log on it says that the roster was updated but when I go to play a exhibition game the rosters are way out of date. I thought maybe you just go to load default roster but that seems to just use the factory roster that came with the game. I'm confused to say the least lol. And yes I have downloaded the OSFM rosters and use thme most times but trying to figure this out. Thanks

Don't load default roster. I believe that is the roster that shipped with the game.

Save the "Live Roster", then load it and you should be good. Worked for me.

OK I will try that. I just thought the Live roster was just the current roster loaded at the time but I'll give it a try. Thank you
