Noob Question - Import Players to Free Agents 1

For the life of me I can't figure out how to import players in the the Free Agent section. I want to add in some of the international players and have them in free agency for year 1 of my franchise now that the Revisions roster is out. Anyone have a good way to do this?

I tried searching the forum and couldn't really find anything.

They have to actually be on a team. You cant just import over them in the FA pool.

Best bet is to release a low rated player for the player you want to import over....import over said player...then release the new player into the FA pool for the player you released from the team.

Sounds way more complicated than it really is.
