Thanks. You'll love the finished product(I hope!) if you enjoyed the work in progress.

I wanted to create a base roster that contains all generic players with the same ratings so that no one team gets an advantage in playing a weaker or stronger team during sims(since we can't eliminate them in season/franchise) so I imported the players onto each team and then edited the 1975 set from there.
Unfortunately I didn't realize that the helmets were locked on the player I used to create the set(hence not having no flaps except on pitchers) ...
I thought it was just locked for all.....and realized too late that using a CAP would remedy that.

For the 1965 set.....this and service time won't be an issue. I will have no rookie where it shouldn't be and I will even try and get some milestone stats into the set if any players hit something big that year( you old guys could list them for me if you know them!) This will be time relative though as I don't want to spend too much time on that if it becomes burdensome. At the least, I'm going to get players who shouldn't be rookies out of rookie status.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1975

The completed 1975 set is in the Vault...

T.B.T.C. 1975 Season
Knight165

All players who played in the MLB for the 1975 season
All ratings
All faces
Equip/stances/motions(to the best I could )

Lineups and rotations are to most used
Players who played on multiple teams are likely on the team they started with if they played 20 or more games or with the team most played on that year.(with some exceptions if they were a 25 man roster player on one team...but a minor league player on another. They are all somewhere though.

A few things...
I changed the non-existent teams somewhat...but I didn't take it where I "wanted".....I felt like it was impacting a bit too much
But....because of that there a few stats I feel we have to live with a little(just simming....gameplay I think is in a really good spot)
-SB's....they are a little low for the top players......they are usually 50+(Rivers, Lopes, Brock....) but nerfing catchers any more I didn't like....
-HR's allowed.....a little low for pitchers...but this is mostly because of the 6 generic teams(again...simming...not games played)
-Win/Loss for teams...again...the generic teams not getting more wins.

Let me know if there are any major corrections and/or any feedback.

I really hope you guys enjoy the set....and I'll be getting started on 1965 pretty much right away!

ENJOY!!!!

Just downloaded and simmed through a season. Red Sox beat Reds in seven game World Series. You almost had it.

Just kidding. :-D

Great roster set! Thanks a million for all your hard work!

Knight,

Superb Roster as all of yours are.

I have uploaded into the Vault: Knights 1975 filled; 6 Exp Teams Filled

I did a balanced draft and placed most of your players in the Minors on the 6 Non Existing Teams. The only adjustments were making some of the Relief Pitchers Starters and making certain those had at least a Stamina of 51.

If you would rather me take this out of the Vault just let me know and it will vanish quickly.

Thanks Again for this fabulous Year,
Don

No don....that's great.
Although I feel like my rosters are like my dogs...my babies....I don't covet them. When I put them out....I actually like if guys tweak/fix/add...anything to them.

Any feedback on them is welcomed.

Thanks guys!(and gals?)

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 1975

Just wanted to share my Game 1....

After months of editing....I finally started my season as manager of the New York Mets.

Tom Seaver vs. Steve Rogers.

Seaver was his usual dominant self starting the game with 2 K's.
In the third inning Montreal 2B Pete McKinin(sp?....the current Philly manager I believe) walked and stole 2B.....he then moved to 3rd on a sac fly and scored on another sac fly. Great manufactured run.
The Mets were pretty weak at the plate and going into the 7th were still down 1-0. With Jerry Grote on 2nd after a single and fielders choice....I pinch hit for Del Unser when the Expos brought in a lefty using Bud Harrelson who hit an RBI double to tie it.
With the game still tied at one in the eighth ......I pinch hit for my reliever(I double switched Seaver out) with John Milner. He had Felix Millan on 1B and hit a pinch hit HR to put the Mets up 3-1.
I was using Skip Lockwood in relief but turned to Bob Apodaca for the ninth.
He promptly gave up a walk to Manguel and a single to Tim Foli bringing up RF Gary Carter(that's right....the Kid started as an OF/C early in his career) and in a strange way....I was hoping for one of my favorite players of all time to jack one out of the park. He did for a walk of 3 run HR.
Fitting tribute I thought.
(although if I lose a playoff spot by 1/2 game....I'll be pissed )
