Salary management = roster tricks

I have a franchise going I want to keep playing that had an updated roster accurate to the trade deadline. Is there a way I am missing or a "trick" to keep the roster accurate as I finish the season I. My 1st franchise year. Money is the issue, I am the Indians and getting Bourn and swisher to the Braves is proving difficult. I have a roster that has accurate contracts so it is 29mm to move and they have another year in the contract so i can't cut them and eat the money for the year. I want to keep the rosters accurate till the end of the year then enter the off season. I am sure there will be another issue similar to this before the end of the year, so I am just searching for solutions.
