Brady Anderson

So I had a quick question for anyone who does caps.. I recently found a legend roster I am in love with. I agree with all the ratings pretty much except a few. I noticed they have Brady at a sixty something overall. I feel as he should be higher. Anyone care to chime in what the would give him for his hitting and fielding stats..

How are you able to calculate for a specific year? I'm doing a complete overhaul of my all time roster with specific years, so this would be extremely helpful....and 87 sounds accurate.

Re: Brady Anderson

Sc73Ray I'm actually using your Roster. I really like it noticed you had brady a 60 something overall with his contact ratings in the 40s

Nice! Glad to hear you're enjoying them. There was a reason I made him so low though. Initially, I wanted the 25 man to be those that had already reached their potential. At the same time, I still wanted to add additional legends to continue to come up...so basically make them "prospects". I did not maintain that consistency though....so this roster is all over the place....with I believe only a handful at the "legends prospect" level.

In the overhaul, I will not be doing that at all. All players will be at their "best" season. I'll have more info on that once I have a realistic timeframe.

I have charts for 0-99 for each attribute but my chart is actually calibrated to 1982 for most everything . Still it translates well to years fairly close to 1982 . I did 1996 for Brady because it was his best year according to WAR . I am surprised hes not a mid 90s overall . But that probably has to do with how I laid out my charts and he doesnt rate well on 3 of the 4 defensive attributes . I wanted a varied spread of ratings so I used 60 as average for most of the attributes . Power I use 50 as average . Baserunning aggresiveness I used 40 as average . For range I used different numbers as average according to the position . For instance average range for a shortstop I used 70 and for catcher I used 50 as average . For firstbase I used 55 as average . Also on range I used 99 as the high for shortstops but for catchers I used 79 as the high . So my overalls will be on the lowish side for the most part but I can live with that .

Re: Brady Anderson

If you do a overhaul and make it their best seasons, then you are gonna have everyone's ratings higher than they already are aint?

Re: Brady Anderson

This is how my potential chart looks . I use WAR to calculate potential . I use a players highest season of WAR to use as his number for potential . This chart isnt for catchers and relief pitchers . They have their own seperate charts for potential . This is just P/IF/OF .
99 9
98 8.7
97 8.4
96 8.1
95 7.8
94 7.5
93 7.2
92 7
91 6.7
90 6.4
89 6.1
88 5.8
87 5.5
86 5.2
85 5
84 4.7
83 4.4
82 4.1
81 3.8
80 3.5
79 3.2
78 2.9
77 2.6
76 2.3
75 2

And it continues on to about 50 . A WAR of 1 is 65 and a WAR of zero is 55 . Basically this is how all the charts are .
