Does anybody know if there are any details in Soler's contract that would prevent the Cubs from optioning him?
Jorge has 1 option left

Re: OSFM 2016: Chicago Cubs

All of the minor league opening day rosters have been posted, and I figured this was a good opportunity to redo my predicted rosters, players on the DL will be in class A and highlighted in red. Players on the 40 man roster will have a * after their name, and players on the Cubs top 30 prospects will have their number listed after their name inside [#], also I have players that i think can be cut from this roster lined out. There are currently 27 players on the AA roster, so I will only have 13 players listed in Class A.

SP Aaron Brooks* (Probably start in AAA)
SP Dallas Beeler* (Probably start in AAA)

LF Eddy Julio Martinez [12]
CF Donnie Dewees [8]
RF Eloy Jimenez [14]
RF Shane Victorino (Probably going to AAA once healthy. Not officially listed as on the DL)
RF Kelly Dugan (I don't know what is going on with this guy, but he is still playing Spring ball with the Cubs. I have no idea what level he will be playing at.)

Below is a list of Cubs extras roster hopeful. I only did players starting in at least A ball, anyone below would probably be so low rated that they would be irrelevant, regardless of how highly ranked of a prospect they are.
Cubs Extras:
SP Trevor Clifton [27]
SP Daury Torrez [29]
SP Bryan Hudson [15]
SP Oscar De La Cruz [24]
C Cael Brockmeyer
1B Yasiel Balaguert
1B Chris Pieters
3B Jason Vosler
3B Wladimir Galdino
CF Darryl Wilson [26]
RF Jeffrey Baez

The AAA and AA roster are exactly from the team websites announcements of their opening day rosters. I know OSFM generally uses the entire AAA team and most of the AA team from real life on the rosters. Most of the missing "top prospects" are pitchers with the exception of CF Darryl Wilson. SP's Dylan Cease [11], Justin Steele [16], and Carson Sands [18] were not listed on any opening day rosters. I would like to see Bryan Hudson and Oscar De La Cruz make the opening day roster, there are a few pitchers that can easily be cut to make way for them.

Any input would be great from anyone. I would like to hear MrOldBoy's input on who you may know of being included this year (or not) and if there will be a Cubs Extras roster like in the past.

Looks good, one comment though. I noticed you have Christian villanueva starting at AA when he comes back. I don't know what they're gonna do though because I'm almost positive he's out of options.

Good point. He will probably be traded before he comes back from the DL, that or they will find a way to keep him on the DL all year

One other thing I just noticed, you have Giansantti crossed out on Tennessee roster, only problem is he's slated to be their starting 1B. He needs to be retained and have his position changed I guess.

Edit: One more thing I just noticed. You forgot to include Gleyber Torres. You forgot the #1 prospect in the system! lol

I will probably replace Giansanti on my franchise roster, that is the main reason I had him crossed out, I just feel like he is one of those players who is filler and will never make the majors in my game. Good catch on Torres, he is absolutely supposed to be there on my Class A roster list.

I would agree on Giansanti except for the fact he's the only 1B on their roster and I don't think there's any decent 1B prospects below him either. Plus, I like to have the starting lineup of the AA team intact even if it is filler. Personally, I think we over do it on the prospect front anyway, the game is designed to have some filler in the minors. Just my opinion.
