Transferring players to MLB 16

Does anyone know if created players that are saved from MLB 15 can be imported into MLB 16?

The only way I know that you can get MLB 15 players into MLB 16 is by having them in a MLB15 franchise and importing that franchise into MLB 16.
That means that only those players in your MLB 15 franchise will be able to be included in MLB 16 - they cannot be imported. Hope that makes sense.
