Here's a quick update on this roster...

We are waiting on OSFM like most of the rest of you. That seems like it's getting pretty close although I have no more info on that than you all do.

Our SPREADSHEET is now at full power. You can expect things like jersey numbers and place of origin (for the morale system) to be updated as well as of course the re-ratings. I think these ratings are the best I've done--and they are based on Steamer this time, which is about equivalent to ZiPS (mostly because Szymborski has become a bit annoying to me for some odd reason, lol). I think we have decided to go for a 40-man Opening Day set and I have all the rosters frozen at that point in time for future reference.

One nugget that we've added this year that hasn't been done before with the Hybrid (or Realism etc..) roster is we've taken our formulas and spreadsheets and applied it to prospect potentials. In other words, there won't be any bias on prospects. The potentials have been determined using a formula that relies on objective info from Baseball America as inputs. Things like league ranking, team ranking, future scouting scale score (20-80), and degree of risk. This approach has allowed me to systematically make A and B prospects (projected future All Stars and better) a bit harder to come by.

You can probably expect a few further updates as we go along at some point, but let's not turn this thread into the latest thread to get shut down by people asking for ETA's in a feeding frenzy. That game is no fun to play.
