#OSFM 17: Detroit Tigers

I guess the train has left the station, OSFM 17 work is under way.

Karle and I will be putting together the Detroit Tigers roster set. Karle is working on the Position Players and I'm working on the Pitchers. A lot of work has already been done on this set. Karle and I have been communicating for weeks and everything is running smoothly.

Let us know if you want to lend a hand.

Tigers signed Brett Pill today. He last played in the majors back in 13. He'll need 1.076 service time if you're going to add him. If you need some help let me know. I can probably do it.

Tigers have signed OF David Lough to a minor league contract He makes the 21st position player who played in the Majors in 2016 and so should be included by SCEA in the game. Hopefully SCEA includes all 21 players.

Yes, you are right. He is a pitcher.

Ivanhoe is working on the pitchers. I have the position players mostly done. They should be finished next week.

All of the off-season added Pitchers are on the spreadsheet. Starting the CAPs now.

Ivanhoe, thanks for the update.

Detroit has signed two more pitchers, namely:

Matt Beattie RHP age 18
Rodolfo Fajardo LHP age 16

Both would likely be playing in 2017 in the Rookie Leagues and so we do not need to worry about them.

Detroit has signed two more players to minor league contracts:

Matt Murton (LF)
Danny Muno (3B)

Neither played in the majors in 2016 so neither is an SCEA player.

I will work on these. In the meantime it is clear that Detroit will have to shed quite a few of the AAA level players by the end of Spring Training. The Toldo roster now numbers 40 players!!

For those keeping track, Detroit has currently 32 players on the active roster, 47 players on the AAA roster, and 24 players plus Tommie Collier (restricted) on the AA roster. While a few players will likely be put on the DL as happens every year, Detroit will still have to trim over 25 players from its rosters in the next 10 to 14 days.
