People tend to get biased just because some players are top prospects on their team but that doesn't mean that they have to be A potential, some players are considered top prospects because they are MLB ready and not necessarily because they have superstar potential, others have talent but also have major flaws that will probably prevent them from reaching their full potential, at the start of the year SCEA was giving most of the top prospects A pot but then changed to a more realistic approach, for example Sano was A pot but they changed him to B (88) because even if he reaches his offensive potential his low batting avg and fielding will likely prevent him from being a 90 OVR. We have to keep in mind the players strengths/weaknesses and start giving more B's and less A's because if we check just a few MLB players are 90 OVR and above.

Also some draft classes are deeper than others and a player that is the #1 prospect in a year could have been the #10 in another for example: Benintendi is considered a 65 while in past years there were prospects like Seager, Correa etc that were 70 or even 75. That 65 would put Beni in the 90-87 range which is acceptable given that he hasn't shown elite power. (Beni will be in the game just used him as an example)

Scale it's not perfect but could be of good use and will give you realistic potentials.

Good. He has his big bushy beard in the game and it just looks wrong having him on the team.

Re: #OSFM 17: New York Yankees

I think Wade is going to be a last minute decision. Whether they decide to keep Wade or Kozma they need to take one man off the 40. Refsnyder was assigned to minor league camp but as far as I can tell, never optioned. He could be getting work at SS there. They could very easily leave Kozma and Wade in the minors (or cut Kozma) and keep Torreyes and Refsnyder as a emergency backup. Then again they have a glut and could decide to cycle through the vets they have (Kozma, Solano, Tejada) dropping them permanently if they can't do it until Didi gets back.

As for my roster, I don't worry about injury but if that's the case it's just rearranging.

Re: #OSFM 17: New York Yankees

Caleb Smith was returned by the Cubs. He's another possible AAA pitcher. 25 years old and not much of a prospect but one of those guys who get a last ditch chance as a potential mop up call up in the middle of the season before he's traded as part of a deal for another team's backup in July. Lol.

In other news, Wade was reassigned to minor league camp and Niese appears to be signing a minor league deal.

Yeah, that just leaves Torrens to hopefully be returned.

Just so everyone knows, the Yankees players were submitted to Ridin about a month ago (he asked for them by the end of February). It's a much more centralized process than it was years ago, Ridin and his team have been working on the rosters for quite a while on '16 to port into '17. I won't know how many of "our" guys made it in until the roster comes out.

When the roster set is released we can take a look and work together to create any missing players that people might want.

Also, in case anyone is interested, 2080 released their review of the Yankees system and I think it's worth a look: https://2080baseball.com/2017/03/2017-orgrev-nyy/
