Are LIVE Rosters updated everyday?

Just curious how often the LIVE Rosters are updated, specifically for Play Now mode.

I've noticed that the play now (daily rosters) is the current roster for those teams and different from the roster update. I may be mistaken but that is how it appeared to me last year.

IIRC, the weekly downloads were Monday morning. You'll notice when you get a prompt asking if you want to DL the newest rosters or not.

The daily live rosters are separate from the rest of the game. They update about an hour or so before the real life game starts typically when MLB.COM's gameday gets the starting line ups the game will set the line up's to be as accurate as possible for the teams playing that day ( typically players who are not in MLB the Show already will be replaced with free agents in years past ) the mode is based on downloading data to set up the line ups and stats.

actually it got changed to Thursdays last year. so hoping the end of the week we see a update
