I've been downloading like crazy for Show 20 classic rosters.

I see there are some for 2008 and then 2012.

Does anyone know of some quality rosters for the years in between?

2009, 2010, 2011

Never found quality ones for those years on 20.

I’ve begun working on my take of an All Time Roster. It’s not going to encompass the entire history of the sport, I decided to go with players from my lifetime, so it’s based upon the timeframe of 1994-2023.

To create my list of players, I exported the Fangraphs WAR leaderboard for that time frame and then have been going down the list manually placing each player on their specific team. The 40Man players are placed on the team for which they played the most games during that time period. Everyone else will be placed on the team they made their MLB Debut for.

The 40Man Roster is rated, using RBU, based upon the year they had the highest WAR with that specific team. All the vitals (age, number, contract and service time) are also based upon that year.

The remainder of the AAA roster will be based upon their rookie year. Again rated using RBU from that season and their age and number. Contract and service time for each will be 70K and 0.000 as in this world they had yet to be added to 40 man or make their debut.

The AA roster will also be based upon their rookie year. However, there will be a -2 to their age and a -5 across all hitting attributes to account for them being slightly further from MLB than the AAA players.

The A roster will be each teams current top 15 prospects, all given the age of 18. Haven’t really decided how I’m going to rate these guys though it’ll probably just be by scouting reports and feel instead of any sort of formula.

I plan on releasing once I have the 40Man completed and then again once it is complete. As of now, I have all the 40Man players created I just have to work through Pitch Edits and then V1 will be ready for a release.

Thankfully between ATG’s awesome 1998 and my 2012 roster I’m able to just export most of the players I need and then update the info. Has saved me a ton of time not having to type any names or pick which CAPs to use. Because of that time saver I’m hoping I can get the 40Man done within the next 2 weeks.

The players pulled from 1998 look significantly better than those pulled from my 2012, which are mostly just CPU generated CAPs, but with the inclusion of those great creations I think there are enough unique likenesses that you won’t really notice too many repeats of the generated CAPs. I wish I had some sort of creative skill but I don’t so just not going to waste time trying to make poorly created faces lol.

If anyone would like to assist the help is more than welcome. Will continue to update as I get closer.

Heads up:
Hi my name is scooter also known as BigKlu_18_ on the vault.

My legendary players are on the vault for The Show 20 better get it while you can.
The 20 vault shuts down January 5th.
At one point I had all players from all teams created. Unfortunately an electrical storm took out my PS4 and PS5 and years of work.
I do have most legends on the old teams
of my creations.

Dallmanator1's "Franchise Stars" roster is incredible.

Though, there's only a couple of notable "inconsistencies" I pointed out:

• Eric Hinske (on the Blue Jays): Incorrectly listed as battling right and throwing left; in real life, he batted left and threw right; also, Hinske's actual height is 6'2" (he's listed as 5'11" on the roster)
• Dan Brouthers (on the Braves): Primary position should be 1B, with OF as his secondary position (Brouthers only played 3B twice in his career)
• Wily Mo Pena (on the Reds): Incorrectly named "Will Mo Pena"

Other than those three, the roster looks amazing.
