Downloaded some great created ballparks and started my 1984 Cubs franchise. Finally get to use my favorite all time Cubs team in a legitimate video game. Thanks ATG crew for all your hard, excellent work on these.

Glad to hear! These projects are a labor of love that the group takes very seriously.

I'm a 55 yo sports gamer and there have been several moments i found myself sitting with a big grin on my face, like when I was 12 yo playing Atari and Intellivision Baseball back in the day. It's crazy.

I'm 50. We have a core group of 5 guys that work on these projects together. Two in their late 40's, one in his late 30's. Then one that is 22. (my son) History/Sports Management major. A few of us are SABR members as well. We have actually had more attention the past few years from the baseball historian side of things as compared to the MLB The Show community.

That's pretty awesome. I've been watching some of the YT videos you guys put out. I'm the guy who inquired about the rosters that merged the MLB and Negro League players in the comments of the last livestream last week.

I'm so old school I still give emphasis to Ave, HR, RBIs and pitcher W/L. But I can pulled into the modern statistical era eventually.

We did the integrated sets on Post War (MLB 21) and 1927 (MLB 22)
I love this projects. We always want to use all 30 team slots. On 1955 (MLB 23) we used unaffiliated PCL teams from that season for example

What I really appreciate about the 84 rosters is the inclusion of the Asian/Japanese players and the Latin players. I had never followed any of these players during my impressionable baseball years so I used the Google machine and found out these are also real players from 84 era. This is such a nice touch. Really blew my mind. So I found a way to include at least the Japanese team within my franchise universe. It's not historically or realistically accurate, but I rebranded the team to the Chunichi Dragons. I have no idea if any of those players played for the Dragons, but it was the simplest way for me to rebrand them for my universe.

I toyed with the idea of rebranding teams and realigning the divisions back to how they were aligned in 84 and put the remaining teams within each leagues central division. That may be a project for another day.

That's a good idea.
We always try to align where the stats do not get out of hand. Lot's of sim testing and rating tweaks we do to find an alignment that makes sense.

I just turned 57 this past December and I feel the same way. Good to see the "vintage crowd" into the classic gaming scene lol.
