No different than being into classic Rock or, in my case, classic hip hop (there is such a thing). No shame in revisiting and enjoying what we liked in our younger days. Technology has just caught up to what we wanted years ago.

Public Enemy was my first real concert

To me, these projects have a direct lineage to the pencil and paper games I played in the early 80's.

Will be 57 in June.

Also love the 80's, music, movies, everything especially the 80's baseball teams

So I am truly thankful for those who put their time and love into the classic rosters.

I’m sorry, like what stadiums do I need to download and what teams I need to create uniforms, like I know I have to do the expos but not sure what other teams need rebranding. Hopefully this make sense lol

Thankfully in 98 the final two expansion teams were introduced to MLB, so Washington / Montreal should be the only team you need to rebrand / make custom uni's for.

As far as stadiums go: the following teams DID NOT have their current ballparks in 98, so you'll want to go into the vault, search for these stadiums and DL.

Sea, Det, Hou, SF, Mil, Pit, Cin, Phi, SD, S.L., Wash (use Montreal's), .
The game already has the Yankees, Mets, Rangers, Braves, Marlins and Twins old 1998 parks, so don't worry about DL'ing those.

Does that help?

Re: List of Classic Seasons & Historical Specialty Rosters MLB The Show

I’m loving that 1998 roster. I’ve had my franchise going for about a month and half now. What I’ve done on mine is I’ve added the legends version to a lot of guys that played in the late 80s thru the 90s. So I’m treating it more like a 90s era experience. I’m a big cubs fan and Ryno is my guy so I had to get the ‘89-‘92 power prime Sandberg in there. For the first year, I’m limited moves to guys that played with the cubs in the 90s. So I also gave myself Dawson and traded for guys like Dunston, Rey Sanchez, Brian McRae etc….I also trade for young prospect like Aramis Ramirez and Derrick Lee.

I’ve busted out my 1998-99 Baseball America Almanac and I’m gonna fill in some of the filler plays league wide as the season progress. As for the drafts, I’m also gonna give each team their best guys from each draft. So I know in year 1 I’ll be putting Corey Paterson in the system.

After year 1, I may open it up and be less actual cub centric on my trades but that remains to be seen.
