Is there a definitive explanation for the HOF jersey number glitch?
Is it some stubborn bug that's been around for years, or some quirky MLB rule that San Diego has to abide by? If so are they providing the export player trick as a workaround?

And why are only certain players like Tom Glavine, Reggie Jackson, Greg Maddux, etc affected by this?
