Re: Classic Teams - MLB 17

Well, a productive night after a disappointing day with that bum roster file. I got the entire AL East done for the Classic 90s set, and the file is fine so far. I'll be backing up plenty from here on out, and I hope to have the 90s set out over the Christmas holidays. And maybe... just maybe... the millennium set as well but no promises. I'll have to go slow with that one in order to avoid the same corrupt file issue. I'm just going to re-port the millennium teams over to a clean base roster checking each team along the way.

No problem. The next best thing to enjoying your own rosters is sharing them with others. Also nice to know your efforts are appreciated.

OK the AL is finished for the 90s set. Looking at a possible release next weekend for this roster set. Then I might do the 80s before I revisit the millennium set. Not sure yet.

Re: Classic Teams - MLB 17

OK all, the Classic 90s set is in the vault, and it is good for downloading. I'm going to move to the 80s and hope to have it out for the new year. I'll eventually get back to the millennium set in the new year. All teams are 25 man and lineups, rotations and accurate likenesses are set. I don't put emphasis on equipment. Note that I have the 1989 Royals in this set. I liked this version of the Royals and I figured 1989 is close enough to add in with the 90s. I'll be doing the same with the 80s set as I'll be including the 79 Pirates in that one. The teams for my 80s set are now on the first post of the thread.

I've only noticed a few uniform numbers that had to be fixed upon my final review of the teams. Again, I won't be re-issuing these, so if you need to fix uniform numbers follow this procedure:
1) Make sure no one at the "A" level has the number you need for a player in question.
2) Send the player in question down to "A" that needs the number, reselect the number, and put him back on the MLB roster.
Viola! Just remember if you play season mode, the players will lose the retired numbers, but they will stick in playoff mode (my personal favorite way to play).

There are duplicate players, so playoff mode may be ideal for this set. Once I get the other decades out, you can then mix and match them for your ideal season. Enjoy and feedback is welcome

Re: Classic Teams - MLB 17

OK gang, the AL is set for the Classic 80s roster. Just have to do some re-adjusting and re-rating on a few teams. My target for this set was around New Year's Day, but the holiday family fun always puts everything on the backburner and I've added a few more teams. Now it'll probably be the following weekend. Might actually play a few games too.

Re: Classic Teams - MLB 17

Classic 80s is now in the vault for your enjoyment! I added a few extra teams so check the first post of this thread. Had this game for almost exactly 2 months and only played about a dozen games. That is about to change as I have completed three roster sets, and I'm itching for a playoff fix. I haven't ironed out the issue with the millennium set yet, but I will.

Before I fix the millennium set, I'm going to do the Classic 70s roster as the millennium set, in essence, is finished. It just can't be downloaded yet. Look for the 70s by month's end at the latest. The Classic 70s teams are now on the first post.

As with all my sets, the rosters are 25 man and I posted the fix for uniform numbers on the first post for those unaware of the procedure. For the most part I'd say they are pretty bang on but I might have missed a few. Have fun!
