Classic Teams - MLB 17

Hey all,
I just picked up a copy of MLB 17, so I'm beginning the process of porting over my greatest franchise teams. I'll have a different spin on this project this time around as I'll be creating rosters that represent the best teams of 4 decades.

Now when I say my rosters, I would be remiss not to mention the following roster makers: DrSublime, BigKlu, doncropper, Knight165, Rwings832, Dallmantor1, lortel7, JohnEKool, Aboti98, sc73ray, Marsl444. baumy300, and pjsnell10. Their efforts helped make my rosters possible with their player likenesses that I incorporated into my sets. I re-rated all rosters using JTommy67's roster building utility along with creating a few of these teams from scratch.

The first decade I'll be porting is Classic Millennium set with the best teams from 2000-2009. Then I'll follow this set up with the best of the 90s, 80s, and finally the 70s.

Below I have listed the teams for the millennium set, and when that is finished, I'll post the next set and so on. All 2017 rosters can be found at the Double "A" level. There will also be a few duplicate players, so if you don't like that, just bring up the 2017 team to avoid that circumstance.

*Note - Uniform Number Workaround
I've only noticed a few uniform numbers that had to be fixed upon my final review of the teams. I won't be re-issuing these for uniform number errors as this can be easily adjusted. So if you need to fix uniform numbers follow this procedure:
1) Make sure no one at the "A" level has the number you need for a player in question.
2) Send the player in question down to "A" that needs the number, reselect the number, and put him back on the MLB roster.
Viola! Just remember if you play season mode, the players will lose the retired numbers, but they will stick in playoff mode (my personal favorite way to play).

You'll have the 90s before Christmas for sure Fiddy. Almost have the AL East done of the millennium set. Should be done tomorrow.Made a change on leaving 2017 teams in place. Initially, I said if a franchise didn't have a winning record, I'd leave the 2017 roster at the MLB level. Now I'm just going to put a team in place from that decade winning record be damned.

OK AL East is done. I had to re-rate 3 teams, so it took a bit more time than usual. I think I only have to re-rate 2 more teams in the entire AL, so I'm hoping the "Junior Circuit" will be done by next weekend.

There is a chance by the end of this weekend that the first roster set will be in the vault. Just got parent/teacher conferences and report cards out of the way (I'm a grade 5/6 teacher), so I should have more time to spend on these.

OK gang, the Classic Millennium set just went in the vault. I'll now get started on the Classic 90s set (teams listed on first post of thread). I initially hoped to have these out before Christmas but that may be a tight window. If not then, maybe over the holidays but certainly around the new year.

I played some exhibition games to check uniform numbers. I was going to run through all the teams, but I only had to fix 8- 10 players so, for the most part, probably 90% (if not the rest) of the players should be right. Having said that, you may have to change a few numbers as I won't be re-releasing this set for the sake of a few uniform numbers.

Sometimes you won't be able to get the player to take the proper uniform number while he is at the MLB level. If you don't know the fix for getting players with the right number (even the retired ones) here it is: make sure no one at the "A" level has the number you need for a player in question. I don't fuss over equipment, so if that is a passion of yours, you may still have work to do on these. I just wanted to get players likenesses, ratings and lineups set so these can be enjoyed right away. All rosters are 25 man, and there are a number of duplicate players. Having said that, this set is probably best enjoyed in playoff mode, but duplicate players don't bother me in season mode. Feedback is welcomed.

i just tryed to dl them, and they are not able to dl, i remember RidinDwnKingsley having this problem early on when they were working on the osfm sets, maybe try contacting him for a reply.

I just put up a thread on the issue. I'll take the rosters down, but I hope someone can tell me what to look for so I can make these available for everyone. This roster transfer process gets more painful every year. No reason why it has to be this laborious.

OK gang, it seems I'm the victim of a corrupt file, so I'll put the millennium set on the backburner (noted on the first post) and plug away with the 90s roster along with CAREFULLY monitoring the set to avoid this same fiasco. I will reissue the set at some point. Just not sure when
